Steven Lelli's Inn On the Green

This was pur second visit and it was even better than our first visit this past summer. I had the lamb chops and my husband had the filet. The meat was cooked to perfection! We each had dessert - I had tiramisu and my husband had the key lime pie. Both were excellent! Our server was very kind, engaging and professional. We had a lovely time and will be back!

Very good restaurant. The food and the service were amazing. I think it was a little bit pricey, but not that bad.

I took my fiancée here for a dinner date after seeing this restaurant on the Detroit diet instagram page and we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic and very quick. The atmosphere itself was great and laid back and the steak was possibly one of the best I've ever had in my life. I got a side of the pasta with bolognese sauce for 12$ and it was practically a meal itself. The carrot cake was also fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant and already have to friends of mine.

Classic, iconic, old skool Detroit vibes. Recommend reservation, although I did not have one; And was accommodated with a smile and short (20 min wait). Atmosphere is quite nice and what you'd expect from older, higher-end establishments. Both, large and small, high-backed crescent shaped booths provided intimate, cozy vibes for date night or a group of close friends. There are options for private rooms. Business dinners, birthdays, engagements, and such would fit perfectly here.

Food is upscale. Was disappointed in my salad. But, alas, its just salad and by no means was reflective of my appetizer or dinner entree.

Drinks to the table were quite delayed. It was noticeable that on a Saturday night, and quite busy with larger parties, that there was no dedicated bartender. Odd because people were sitting at the bar waiting for their tables and im not sure they were receiving too good of service, as we at the table were clearly suffering as well.

Everything was “fine” and nothing was incorrect or upsetting. I think I came into this business dinner with higher expectations than I should have based on the reviews I had read. Appetizer sampler was so-so and my Chilean sea bass (which I’ve been ordering everywhere for some reason) wasn’t as good as I had hoped. Plate presentation was lazy and portions were certainly not impressive but nothing was “wrong”, per se. They just didn’t do anything great. Still, if I’m back in the area again, I wouldn’t turn my nose up at it. Would still give it a second try.

Made reservations over a month ago for my Boyfriend Birthday. Long story short placed at a high traffic small table next to a stand with a kiosk to ring up orders. Then I orders a 85 dollar Ribeye and my boyfriend did as well, they mixed up our plate of food. Then we switched over the table, his steak is fine, I order my steak med well,the steak was med rare. Sent it back to the kitchen the steak was like rubber and was cooked over well. My boyfriend got offered Ice cream for free, we are both lactose intolerant. He had steak and I left hungry with no dinner. When to a local bar and had chicken tenders and fries for dinner. Oh manager took 50 percent off bill. But I was starving.😭😞

Our go-to, never disappointed place favorite place in Metro Detroit. This is by far the most first class, old school true Italian service restaurant we’ve been to and we travel and go all over. We’ve been coming here for a while and they deliver exceptionally ever time. My mom had a high end Italian retirement party here and my husband and I have celebrated many special occasions, most recently my 40th bday. The whole experience is incredible.
Massive credit to Lellis son, what a boss and true first class act. The kindest, most genuine person and family. I truly can’t say enough. You will never ever be disappointed. Thank you all for a wonderful evening!!

Dinner was amazing and wait staff was+even better Worth every penny I'll be back again soon

I’ve never had a problem until yesterday. We arrived a few minutes after open and you could clearly see we upset the workers. We stood at the front for a while before even being greeted when the worker clearly saw us. We were in no rush but if you OPEN at 4 you should be ready at 4.. as we were seated you could clearly see the worker was annoyed we were there. He comes back to ask what we would like to drink and we tell him. I then ask could I have some water. He goes “one second we just opened the doors” then walks off and has conversation with someone else in the back VERY LOUDLY about how we shouldn’t come in as soon as they open. Saying how they never have people come in right at 4pm. It was very clear we were not wanted so we left before eating. We won’t be back and that’s pretty disappointing considering we were excited to come yesterday. We left before even having our drinks. The server was an older white male some what tall. We let the first few comments slide but saying “we just opened” storming off and then complaining about us being there to others was enough to leave. Very disappointing in the service. Also if you open at 4pm why are there workers still cleaning when it’s time to open.

Our go to restaurant for birthday and anniversary celebrations and it did not disappoint! The veal piccata is outstanding! Our attendant (more than a waiter or server) was kind, attentive and funny.

The service we received compared to the tables served around us were disappointing! The host was not very nice, the waiter seemed to be grumpy.
