Prices are high. More than $20 for a burger, additional for bacon or cheese. Other sandwiches, around $23.

Just wanted to leave this here. No reason in particular....

A greasy lamb shepherd's pie is often a result of excess fat from the lamb mince. Here's how to address it:
Properly Drain the Fat During Browning:
Brown the lamb mince: Cook the lamb in a hot pan over medium heat, breaking it up as it browns.
Drain the excess fat: Once browned, tilt the pan and spoon off all but 1-2 tablespoons of the rendered fat. Alternatively, you can transfer the cooked mince to a colander set in a bowl to drain away the fat.
Discarding the grease: Let the drained fat cool and solidify, then scoop it into the trash or use aluminum foil or a bag lining a bowl to easily dispose of it. Do NOT pour hot grease down the drain as it can clog your plumbing.
Consider a Leaner Lamb Mince:
If you find that even after draining, your shepherd's pie is still too greasy, consider opting for a leaner ground lamb or even a mixture of lamb and ground beef or turkey.
Avoid Overcrowding the Pan:
When browning the mince, avoid overcrowding the pan as this can lead to steaming the meat rather than browning it, according to Tasting Table. Brown the meat in batches if necessary to ensure it's evenly browned and flavorful, according to Tasting Table.
Ensure Proper Gravy Consistency:
A runny or soupy gravy can also contribute to a greasy texture. Make sure to reduce the meat filling long enough during cooking to thicken the gravy.
Don't Forget the Red Wine (Optional but Recommended):
Adding a splash of dry red wine to your filling mixture can help balance out the richness and fattiness of the lamb, contributing a complexity of fruit and tannins.
By following these tips, you can enjoy a delicious and satisfying lamb shepherd's pie without the greasy aftermath!

Way overpriced. Basic Irish pub food at high end prices. A Guinness beer is $9.50. Also charged cover because a band was playing. 2 people $135. 1 app, 1 entree, 3 beers and dessert.

Overpriced. $26 for shepherds pie that's just OK. O'Malley's makes it better for less. They also charge a credit card fee. The bathrooms are weird, with no locks on stall doors, and the outer door of the bathroom opens inward but only a blow dryer and no paper towels to grab the door handle.

I've had better. Greasy and heavy battered fish. Tasted like everything was cooked in old oil. You can get better fries at McDonald's. Arrogant staff and owners. Don't expect to be treated with respect. Atmosphere is exactly like an Irish pub. Even smells like one.

Made reservations at a burger place nearby. They would not work with us on splitting bills for party of 21. Demanded that all are on 1 which we were not made aware of until we were being seated. So we walked out with no plan.

I saw the Sign for Cowleys Irish Gastro Pub and decided to walk over. The hostess said they had room for all of us and would split bill any way we wanted to. The service is top notch. The atmosphere is authentic irish Pub. Best of all the food and their drinks are wonderful. Shepherds pie, Chicken Marsala, Fish and chips and everything else our group ordered was very good. They also had great drinks. Their house specialty Manhattan is the Best I ever had. I would definitely recommend and return. Appreciate them saving our Bday celebration and it turned out better than it would in the basement I'm sure.

The band is always fabulous!!! We spent over $18 (tip not included) for 2 Miller light beers. I don't mind paying a cover charge (10 each). Manager said he pays a lot of taxes and has to charge this much for basic beers. Thank goodness we did not order cocktails!

We had the cool Henry room for 12 people last night for dinner. Everyone ordered different entrées and raved about their meals. The food was very fresh and there was a large variety of items on the menu for people with different diet, restrictions and different appetites. Our server, Ashley, was very attentive and a wonderful waitress. Greg Conley was great to deal with and help us to find the perfect venue for our special dinner. Thank you to Cowleys for the great atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food. We highly recommend.

Expensive and small corned beef sandwich , $25. Wait staff not very attentive. The pub was not busy on Thursday afternoon at 4:00.
