Large 3 pound order of beef fried rice had almost no beef. The shrimp fried rice was fine. This is the 2nd time In a row so I think they are skimping on purpose.

This has been our family’s favorite Chinese place for 5+ years. We usually order monthly for our family of 7. However, the prices have gone up and the quality has gone downhill. The chicken in the almond chicken meal is always very dry now. Like barely edible at times. Male owner is very friendly but some of the staff members are very rude.I don’t generally leave bad reviews but tonight’s dine in experience was very disappointing. This was my first time dining in. I took my youngest for a haircut and figured it would be nice to dine in together. We were planning to order carry out but given how busy they were I figured we could eat our appetizers and take the rest to go depending on how he was behaving. He did great however, our server was not friendly. I ordered soup for myself and two orders of crab rangoon. I explained one was to go. I was brought two bowls of soup and two trays of rangoon. Fair enough. I didn’t want to be rude so I set one to the side along with the extra soup and figured we would just take it home. After I finished my soup and my son ate his rangoon I asked to take our meals to go as it was getting late. The server was very clearly bothered by this. She packed up some of our leftovers but tossed the soup out. I bit my tongue thinking maybe she realized I didn’t order the second soup. She then brought the bill. $52.58. I was a bit shocked as it was almost $10 more than usual. Again, we order very often and it’s never that much. I very politely asked her if the total was correct and compared it to the menu but she cut me off and told me it was because I ordered two soups and it was extra for the rice I ordered? One was white rice and one is chicken fried rice. Neither are an up charge. And I didn’t order two soups. I ordered one. She took it upon herself to dump out the second bowl but still charge me for it.I tipped well, made sure our table was cleaned up and left. Got home and went to serve up food for my family only to see we got one scoop of rice, not two with the almond chicken meal. I’m not even sure how that happened.TLDR: paid more than I ever have for two combinations, got less food and rude service.

Food is always fresh but I won't be patronizing this place anymore. I walked in to dine in with my 3 children right behind a couple who was escorted to their table. That same host then took menus for my children and I to a table and sat them there while we waited to be seated. He returned to us and told us "your table is around the corner". I started to walk out but it was Sunday evening a little bit before 7pm and the kids needed dinner before heading home and preparing for bed. As we ate, I watched that same host escort each and every guest to their table. On our way out the door, I spoke directly to the host to let him know that telling someone their table is around the corner is completely unacceptable and rude. Instead of apologizing, he said that he told me to follow him. I then let him know that If he did say follow him, I didn't hear him, but when he came back to tell us where the table was, he could have escorted us at that time. There was another employee standing beside the host that eventually intervened to apologize but not before the host told me to "get a husband" then "go home to him". It was completely unacceptable and inappropriate. I was forced to have a conversation with my children who witnessed the incident about inappropriate behavior.

My family and I have frequented Rainbow since 2016 and have always had an excellent experience until this past weekend. We placed a carryout of veggie lomein, chicken egg fo young, and chicken fried rice. The veggies were mushy, the noodles were over cooked, and chicken was dry. I called back to explain the issue and was told that I would receive a call back but never did. I called to speak with the owner, Tom. He said he heard about the issue with the lomein and made excuses....we picked up late and when it's in the carryout container for 30 minutes that happens. What about the scorched patties and dry chicken. He offered $12 for the lomein. I'm very disappointed with the lack of concern or the fact that we are long standing customers. He has lost sight on what it takes to keep the customers happy and coming back. Without us there is no success! I am very, very disappointed. We do not eat Chinese food anywhere else. But, I will not ever frequnt Rainbow again!

This quiet, simple place is tucked into the corner of the strip mall. We thought it was connected to the sushi place. The seating is fine.Vegetarian options: There is at least one vegetarian dish, along with vegetarian option for egg roll and soup.

Super good food for super good prices. I had a pleasant experience, and really enjoyed the vegetable fried rice. Everything is very affordable, and you could split a « combo » meal with 2 people. Definitely a diamond in the rust!

The egg rolls and egg foo young are delicious. The almond chicken was not what I am used to but still good. A good amount for the price.

Server: JasmineOrder: COMBO - Hot & Sour Soup, Vegetable egg roll, Hunan Chicken (medium heat)Price: Very affordable!Portions: I had leftovers with the combo order.CUSTOMER SERVICEAn older gentleman greeted me. He was nice. He smiled and offered to help immediately. When I mentioned I needed to review the menu he wasn’t pushy at all. (I ended up eating in lol)Jasmine was GREAT! She was quick and attentive to the tables, including mine. She checked to see if I wanted an entree (larger portion) or combo and didn’t assume. She knew the ingredients very well.Time: Quick with enough time to enjoy each part of the meal.THE FOODGluten free options available ?SoupYUMMY. My favorite part of the meal! Savory, hot, medium thickness which was great with the fried wontons!Vegetable Egg RollDecent. This had no particular flavor that stood out. The size was about 3inches long. Just enough for me. (I know some people look for them monster egg rolls lol) Jasmine suggested this spicy mustard (horseradish mustard). Woo baby! Shot fire up my nostrils but really yummy! That mustard would clear a cold up in seconds lol.Hunan ChickenVery Sweet (not artificially sweet)The breading was light and still had some crispiness to it which was delightful. The chicken was good quality, no bits of cartilage or fat around the meat. If you want sweet heat, go for the max spice level.Food was hot and flavorful. The sauce for the chicken is medium consistency (chicken is fully coated and the rest is on the plate). I believe the consistency of the sauce prevented the chilis from coating the chicken because it was very low on spice (barely tasted any).⭐️SUGGESTION: Sprinkling some on top of the chicken after plating would ensure an accurate spice level for medium and up.Chicken came with blanched broccoli and chicken and egg fried rice. The sides were decent. The rice could have used a tad more depth of flavor but still good! The rice was perfectly cooked.Atmosphere is decent. Clean and somewhat modern with a mild diner feel. Family friendly (no inappropriate music or graphics).I did not use the restrooms so I’m not sure how they are.Overall great spot for those looking for Chinese food that is NOT greasy.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available. Vegetarian available.Kid-friendliness: No inappropriate music, graphics or conduct.

Consistency is key here. It's always hot, fresh and delicious. Staff is very friendly. Place is always packed. Carry out is a gold mine for them so expect long wait time.
