Decent little spot, vegetarian options, standard drinks. Happy hour and outdoor seating available. Nothing spectacular, I'd go back, but not in a hurry.
I've had dinner at Sidecar Slider Bar - Farmington almost every week for the past year...they host trivia on Tuesdays from 7-9 and Quizmaster Christina always makes it a fun event! They have a wide selection of drinks, an amazing bartender, an attentive and caring wait staff, and a menu stuffed full of delicious items--a lot of which can even be made gluten free!
Was there on a Saturday evening but wasn’t full. Service at the bar was extremely slow. Sliders were good but the side of slaw not so great, unless you like massive amounts of mayo.

Went to watch the game bar was full so I sat in a booth. It wasn’t too crowded. I planned on drinking a beer and trying a app. Clearly my server had an issue with me. She brought me my slider no napkins I had to ask another server for them. The crazy thing is Im a big tipper. I planned on leaving $20 just for sitting there. However she was barely “serving me” I didn’t need much but when I did she was nowhere to be found. Then the best part… THEY HAVE NO WHERE to charge your phone so make sure you are fully charged or have a functioning car charger. I asked the bar tender she pointed me to an area with a monitor showing a slide show and the OPEN sign was plugged up. I waited and decided I actually needed my phone so I unplugged the monitor to charge my phone. Considering the open sign needed to be on. ( I have a fast charger so it was all of 10min) Well that server that was basically no where to be found decided to talk crap about me to the bar tender. I approached the bar tender about the situation and she said I was fine. I like this place and I have been there before. However I will not let them give me Ms rudeness again and Ill make sure my phone is charged 🙄 her tip went down and down 🤷🏽♀️ her fault

Terrible experience our first time and we over tipped, even though the food wasn’t good and got chased outside by staff asking us. If we paid online, we said look at the table. There is money and extra..

First Of All Scot “the owner” this is a LIE “thank you for your feedback. My Waitress called me that night crying after this occurred, we feel though after you and your group made comments to our 19 year old waitress such as "how hard is it to do your job" and "are you stupid or something", we feel its best to part ways with you as a guest here. We feel you and your party are no longer welcome in our restaurant.“
EDIT: Scot, You have to be living under a rock to have not ever heard the saying!! It’s a saying Scot😂 Definitely have never been thrown out of anywhere and we weren’t thrown out that night! Now Like I Said! Have the day you deserve!
We would never talk about a person who is in charge of handing us our food! That’s not even something none of the people that were in my party would say!! Then to top it off when we were walking out the waitress at the bar told us to “have the day we deserved” very cocky! Like she wanted a problem! And it was 11:00 at night. 🙄🙄 why in the world would we wanna come back to your basic restaurant with basic burgers & terrible service that I can get from anywhere?!!! We would rather be thrown out of better places😂 Now you have the day you deserve!!
It was my birthday, so the people in my party kept stuff from me until we were outside. And unfortunately this was the only place open after the event we left, and was NOT my first choice for dinner. But even from what I saw inside, from the waitress snatching the incorrect receipt from my friend after confirming aloud, "it's right" when indeed it wasn't, to the BS excuse about how the bill couldn't be cancelled out and redone after she put the $30 cash on the bill we didn't say HAD to be put on there (we just asked if it COULD be, not to do it at that point), knowing we could only use 2 cards to pay (my cousin there has been working in restaurants for over 10 years and said that was bogus)...and then early the next morning my stomach was messed up. So yeah, you ain't gotta worry. We won't be back and will not recommend.
Edit: our group was not confused, and that was not what the waitress said either. She said it could only be split 2 ways. Your waitress was confused once we pulled out cash and cards to pay, that's where the confusion came in. Train your servers better so maybe you'll stay in business, even outside of your condescending tone.

I could write an entire essay about how bad my most recent visit to this establishment was, but I won't waste my time. What I will say is when someone tells you who they are, believe them. You can tell a lot about a company by how they respond to both positive and negative feedback. You can definitely tell exactly what this establishment is like, simply by reading their replies to reviews, specifically the negative reviews. It was the same way at the restaurant. The staff was very snarky, sarcastic, condescending and downright unprofessional. And to the owner, you don't have to waste your time replying to this review or saying how I'm not welcome back because I wouldn't return to this establishment if it was the last source of food on the planet.

“Have the day you deserve” is no way to say goodbye to paying customers. Confused or not. Do better.
We were just here for my cousin’s birthday and our waitress was rude, unprofessional and as we left, one of the low level bartenders said to us “have the day you deserve” and all because we were trying to work through a bill that was wrong in the first place. Never coming back here and do not recommend people of color patronize this place. It felt deeply discriminatory.
UPDATE: After reading the k credibly unprofessional response of the “owner” of this restaurant and also reading similar reviews and responses to people of color with a similar experience, I can confidently say that none of us would dare waste another dime in that trashy establishment. I was visiting from out of town and my experience made me realize racism is very much alive and well in this country. Please tell your 19 year old waitress to stop trying to relate to customers by talking about all the underage drinking she does, we were all very uncomfortable.
Additionally, it’s laughable to suggest anyone working there “fired” us as patrons. It’s so obviously biased against people of color that we would never encourage anyone we know to return. We know who this establishment is for and it was our mistake in the first place even giving it a chance. I’m disgusted by the owner’s gross behavior and these embarrassing replies under each negative review. Do better, Scot. Learn how to be a better business owner.

To be completely honest if I could give negative Stars I promise you I would the service here was subpar and the atmosphere is lackluster and your wait staff needs better training I've been in the restaurant industry for 14 years both B.O.H & F.O.H there was actively one waitress and one bartender on duty there was another female employee that was on the side rolling silverware then retired to the back of the establishment. Our server had an almost 5 minute conversation before she even acknowledged us at the door. Before we were seated she stated that we could split our bill two maybe three ways she did also state that gratuity would be automatically added but never stated with the percent was which wasn't even the problem. The entire night your waitress was too busy having conversations with other customers at the bar to even acknowledge any of the problems that we might have had during our visit that night. It took her almost 15 minutes to even bring us menus of which we were trying to get her attention because we were trying to get our food orders in before the kitchen closed. When our food came out some of our orders were wrong amongst other things so the bill needed to be adjusted. She gave my friend flak when she requested the adjusted bill because she had been given the wrong one. The waitress was very snarky, rolled her eyes, waved her hand and ignored us numerous times which was very unnecessary and unprofessional. At the end of the day I was the one who made the comment " there is no way that I would have somebody working in my establishment nonetheless closing that couldn't void a ticket that makes absolutely no sense". I made that comment because I was told that we had to pay with only one card because she had already processed the $30 cash payment of which was in her hand. I asked her how it had been processed if I was looking at it in her hand there's no way it wouldn't be in the register if it was in the system. As I stated before I have worked on wait staff at multiple establishments so I know that the statement that she made was not true. She gave us a long drawn-out explanation about how she had to pay the bar amongst other things that made absolutely no sense and this is where the problem escalated. The bartenders attitude was out of this world horrendous. We made eye contact multiple times because she was watching our table like a hawk and had a look of disdain on her face the entire time for whatever reason and proceeded to tell us to have the day that we deserve on our way out as if that was even necessary. You should teach your wait staff better because in a different situation with a different group of people it could have ended up a whole lot worse. The world is crazy and so are people and treating anybody in this way regardless of how you feel about them and you chose customer service as your occupation is insane. Nobody is forcing them to do that job so I feel like it should always be done cheerfully. Some of the things that were said by the bartender combined with her attitude could land her in a really bad situation for her and that's just real. You're talking about dealing with patrons that could potentially be highly intoxicated and it's late night that's not a good combination therefore you should teach them better and you should do better as well as the owner. And if you are really concerned about your 19-year-old waitress you would most definitely teach her a more efficient way to deal with situations like this so that she's proficient in her occupation.
Not to mention I don't know whether you own other locations or not but I highly doubt you do nonetheless the one in Birmingham because they have way better service, the food is stellar and they have a better menu with more options and variety they are completely blowing your loathsome location out of the water
And we fired you get it right I swear your responses are laughable and you're a poor excuse and example of a business o

I had decided to give this restaurant a try. The restaurant had an inviting atmosphere. It is clean and chic. The employee was very nice. I had ordered the Fried Perch slider. I had asked for the pretzel bun. The fish was perfectly battered. I thought the sauce was a bit bland. I had also ordered the Drive Thru slider. The beef was cooked perfectly. The condiments were balanced. It was also on a pretzel bun. I was quite pleased with this sandwich. I will definitely return!
