My husband and I went to old hickory to get burgers we got there around 6pm. We had a waitress that was all geeked out on something. It took 20 minutes to get a drink order. Never came back never got napkins or silverware. Another waitress came and asked if we were waited on we said yes drinks only, she said why don’t you have menue we said she never gave us one. The bartender took our order but never came back. Everyone around us were waited on and were eating even after they came in after us !!!!! We’ve vied here for over 50 years and have been to this bar , it’s a dive and the waitresses need to be let go.

My husband and I have been going to old hickory for more than 20 years and have always enjoyed the bar food and playing keno. Tonight we stopped in at 7:30 and we were immediately greeted by a very rude server who laid down the menus and told us to be quick they were closing the kitchen because of the weather! We walked out! First of all she was very rude! Second we live in Michigan get used to the winter weather!! We barely had an inch of snow on the ground! I’m sad to say it will be a long time if at all that we return there

Cold onion rings, burned shrimp and burned tater tots. Asked server for a glass of water 3 times and ended up having to walk up to the bar to get it myself. Had to ask for our appetizers as server did not bring them. Server left all plates and dirty drink glasses on the table and we had to ask her to remove them. She did not appear to know what she was doing. Also, she had very long finger nails— totally gross when you are serving food.
Also, the server would not provide us an itemized receipt. We had two checks at our table and there was no way to tell if the bill she gave us was ours, it could have even been from another table. We asked for itemized and she played with her handheld machine and said she can’t do one.
We asked to speak with a manager. She said she did not know if they were there. Then she said she did not think they were there. Overall experience for all 4 of us was 8 thumbs down.

If I could give negative stars I would. Our food was cold and what was not cold was burnt. The waitress never got our water, and was not very attentive. We had to ask her to remove the dirty plates and never got the manager like we asked. I would NEVER come back here.

My brother and I were at our family cottage in Linden and wanted something different. My husband and I had been to Old Hickory a few times in recent year and this time it did not disappoint. We split a Stromboli and it brought back memories of our neighborhood pizzeria in Detroit. It was amazing. You will bring half of it home!! We highly recommend Old Hickory if you are in the area OR if you want to take a drive for some great food.

Service and food quality has gone down hill. Food took 45 minutes to get and sandwich came out with 3 pieces of dried corned beef on it and was cold. Owners daughter, who i'm pretty sure isn't old enough to be behind the bar or serving drinks, but is, was more interested in talking with her friends and her phone then serving patrons. Table was dirty, condiments where crusty in the lids.
