Cool atmosphere. Great location. Good drink menu with a lot of variety. Food is over rated and over priced. We had the mussles for a start (finished w/ no complaints) and the lobster rolls, halibut and ravioli for dinner. There was food left on everyones plate. We did not take boxes for left overs. Lobster rolls are not worth the money, small amount compared to the bread its in. (Reccomend the hot over the cold) French fries were limp and soggy. Both entrees of Halibut were dry and bland. Bean mixture that they were placed on top was bland and under seasoned. $200 dinner to leave disappointed and hungry. Go for cocktails. Book reservations else where for dinner. Disappointed. Our hopes were pretty high for this place.

Grouper was a tiny piece smallest portion of fish I have ever been served and dry... over cooked. I guess when you cook something that small it cooks very fast.

Off-putting. NY Strip over cooked. Inedible w/o steak sauce. Neat thing, they hand pour sides of steak sauce. Upon request, you wait, steak gets colder. Bread service, not worth the money unless you're looking for an English muffin type substance. Salad was decent. Bathroom access, always awkward. Nice enough, to find a portrait of a lady, also sitting on the john - with a smoke and bottle; starring directly at you (in a creepy kind of Amy Winehouse way). Only to get ran over by staff, as you exit the bathroom to the 3ft alley. Fine place when they aren't busy. But, they simply do not have the square footage, parking, or staff to accommodate a packed house. Fourth and last time in. The first three times were fine. Last visit, should have complained - except for it was a birthday, at my request. Also, why is the lighting so dim and the menu font so small? We literally had to use phone flashlights to maneuver the fine print. One or the other. Nice knowing ya Vault. This won't stand in Fenton.

Great food, good portions as well. I had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was excellent for a celebration or a romantic ...we were there celebrating birthdays. I highly recommend The Vault Downtown.

My husband and I are deeply disappointed. This restaurant used to be our favorite date night spot, but our recent experiences have been far from enjoyable. We suspect a change in the kitchen might be to blame. We consistently order the filet—mine medium well and his medium. On both occasions, the steaks arrived blood red. Despite sending them back multiple times and enduring long waits, the steaks were still undercooked. We’ve never had issues with this place before, and we rarely send food back, but given the high prices, it’s unacceptable for the food to be inedible.
We decided to give it another try a few months later, hoping our previous experience was a fluke. Unfortunately, we encountered the same problem again. It’s a shame because the atmosphere is charming and the drinks are excellent. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Been here dozen times but last two have been poor and pry won't come back. The wife and I always order filet. They've all sudden forgot how to properly cook them. I order medium and comes out medium rare and wife ordered medium well to avoid this since last time hers was very rare. It didn't make a difference as it was just as rare as mine. This is twice and for the price I shouldn't have to send my meal back when simple google search can show you proper medium cooking shade of filet.
We came here on a Friday night for a date. The place was empty when we walked in at 5pm. Maybe 10 people max were seated and no one waiting. The minute we walked in the host seemed unsure and said “ummm, let me see what we have available.” We weren’t dressed up but we also weren’t dressed down either. We were on a date and looking forward to some good food and drinks and we always tip very well for good service! The hostess looked at us and says “we can seat you upstairs at the bar if you would like”. We were looking for a nice dinner together, definitely not seated at a bar upstairs. Mind you- every single table inside was empty except the bar and 1 table. We said no thank you and left. She claimed it was because they had a lot of reservations but never offered us a wait time for a table. We spent money elsewhere and had a great dinner and tipped our sever very well like we always do!!! When we walked past again around 7pm there was no more people seated than when we were there an hour and a half earlier. I will NEVER come to this place again based off of their judgement and service. Absolutely unacceptable!
