We had dinner here, did not golf. We have lived in the area for a while and decided to go in and check it out. Food was excellent and drinks were not expensive which was great, however the place is showing it's age and is a little rough around the edges. Parking lot could use some work, landscaping could use some work, kind of messy inside. Place was pretty dead for a Friday night. We will try it again on another evening. The place had that look like if I found out next week it closed it's doors I wouldn't be surprised.
Can't speak for the golf course at all.

This is a glorifed par 3 course. It should not take 5 1/2 hours to play. Since the ranger (the one with the white goatee) refused to do anything about the slow play, it was a brutal day. There was a group holding up 4 other groups from hole 4 - 9. We actually sat for 8 - 12 minutes on every hole (which meant the two groups behind us were waiting over 15 minutes from when they arrived at the tee). A foursome in front of us, and 2 groups behind us all sat on EVERY hole waiting to tee. At the turn, the foursome in front of us left, they told us they couldn't take it any more. We also decided to leave at the turn after we asked the ranger about the pace of play and he just smirked and told us we were lucky because there was a women's league on Wednesday morning and they are really slow. He refused to address the group holding up the course and felt that as long as you coud complete a round in 4 1/2 to 5 hours it was OK for one group to cause 12 other golfers to wait 12 - 15 minutes on each hole before they could tee. If your going to go, bring a lunch and maybe some dinner. You are going to be there for 5 to 6 hours because the ranger couldn't care less and will just smirk at you. There are too many other real courses in the area to deal with this. Management should do a better job at monitoring the course. I see several other reviews about the painful pace of play. I play 2 - 3 times per week and I understand that at times pace of play can be frustrating, but this was by far the worse I have encountered. Especially when 2 groups left at the turn because it was so miserable and the cause of the slow pace was one specific group that the rangers refused to address or care about.

When we arrived we had questions as it was our first time there. The gentleman was so helpful and friendly. He gave directions to a restaurant we had wanted to go to as neither of us was familiar with Fenton. The young man in charge of the carts was fabulous too. Just treated so well there. The course was recommended by a friend in Fenton. It was as beautiful as it was challenging. We definitely will be going back.

We booked a baby shower event at the Tyrone golf club in Fenton September 29th. I can easily sum up this place, it was filthy everywhere, the carpet, the bathrooms, dirt and dead flies everywhere you looked. It rained on this particular and water was pouring in through the ceiling. Please please never ever book an event at this place, they have no idea what customer service is, we would have been better off under a tent outside. Also we used Shari’s catering for the event, which is associated with the Souper Cafe in Saginaw Mi. At one point we had concerns about the room and the owner (Shari) turned to my wife and said “ I don’t have to take this S—t and told us if we didn’t like it we could take our business somewhere else! Please, please do not ever use Shari”s Catering.
