Not sure how this place gets such good reviews. It wasn't horrible but it certainly is rather meh. I hate giving bad reviews but this is the 2nd and last time I will go here. Had been many years so gave it another try. There are far better options downriver.

Picked up a Salad, Falafal and Falafal Sandwich, Baba, and came with a little garlic hummus and their garlic sauce.

EVERYTHING was basically flavorless is you can believe it. Garlic sauce was this slightly sour and runny sauce. Salad dressing was very lite.

It was hot food. The online ordering sucks and almost double-ordered! Owner is nice. Place is sorta meh and like a typical greek restaurant.

Not sure if they feel they need to cater to more American-style menu and maybe keep costs down, but when I/we want Arab food, it needs to be authentic. Appreciated, but not for us and won't be going back unless they change the food and make it more aggressively and authentic flavored, so that is the ask to the owner and staff.

What a fantastic experience!!!! Ofil the owner and chef is so personable and accommodating. The meal was exquisite and unique given the extremely reasonable price. The atmosphere eclectic and extremely basic added to the charm. Definitely worth the trip up the unassuming gravel road.

I had dinner here with my mom for her birthday. Super friendly and helpful staff and the food was so good. We had the blended course and we loved everything, I definitely plan on coming back here!

We saw the high reviews for this place so decided to give it a try. When we initially entered we were worried that the food wasn't going to be good as the place was absolutely empty and we were there at around 7pm. The owner greeted and sat us. We placed the order and the food came up not too long after. The food was decent. We got the meal for 2 which came with a salad, hummus and pita. We were dissapointed as we expected to get the nice fluffy bread you normally get at a Middle Eastern restaurant. The owner/waiter was kind as well and the restaurant was clean. It seemed they mostly got pickup orders from this place. Will return but most likely will order takeout.

This place is very nice place to enjoy a meal. The food is delicious, the portions are hearty, the owner is friendly always with a smile and a warm hello when you walk into the door. The restaurant is inviting and very clean, decor is warm and pleasing with cloth tablecloths covered with glass table tops. No worn down beat up booths you might normally find in some coney island and restaurants. I would call this place an upscale 5-star Coney Island, if there is such a thing... ha.
The menu is diverse with something for everyone. We normally go for the Middle Eastern cuisine when we visit Bashar's and the food has always been delicious and Im not ashamed to say this place "stole" us from another well known Middle Eastern coney we used to visit regularly. The meat and chicken swarma is tasty, the hummus is flavorful, and the falafel is pretty dang good. Ive also tried a few of the American type sandwiches and I have yet to walk away disappointed. When looking through the appetizers, in addition to the hummus... also consider the fried pickles. Battered dipped dill spears with ranch dipped. I would drive out of my way for those pickles! More than once we will look at each other and say "Fried Pickles? Lets go to Bashars!"
In additions to an assortment of smoothies and Pepsi products, they now also offer cocktails, beer and wine!!! Which is nice when you might like to enjoy a drink before dinner. I ordered a Bloody Mary which Bashar made himself and he spared no expense, generous in size, full of flavors. It was one of the best bloody marys Ive had in a while.
I dont work for Bashar, these are all my honest opinions that I wanted to take the time to write a review bc I would really really like them to stay open for a long time. Give them a try!

Kid-friendliness: High chairs and booster seats were available.
