Support your local small businesses. Very cute and clean, with great hot and cold beverages and lots of really nice items on the boutique side. There's a comfy seating area where you can enjoy your beverage and relax in a quite and friendly atmosphere.

This has quickly become one of my families most favorite shops downriver. I came for the coffee and stayed for the freshly baked muffins, the assortment of their highly sought after Olive Oils and vinegars, the abundance of seasonal gift options, the cozy vibe and the superior service. My boys love coming with us for the smoothies and ice cream. There really is something for everyone. Mark and Alisa have created a real gem with the Blue Heron.

We had such a great time at Blue Heron! The balsamic vinegar and olive oil tasting was fantastic, and the coffee shop was a perfect spot to relax. The shopping was fun too with so many unique finds. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Blue Heron is my go-to place for gifts—the selection is always unique and thoughtful, and I never leave empty-handed. Although I’m not a coffee drinker, I love stopping in for a tea and meeting up with friends. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for connecting.
As a member of Soroptimist International of the Flat Rock Area, I especially appreciate Blue Heron’s philanthropic support of community causes. It means a lot to see a local business giving back while also providing such a wonderful place to shop and gather.

I also love the variety of oils and vinegars they offer. I always cook with their products.

In my personal opion this place is very expensive weird hours for coffee and the owner is extremely unfriendly and snooty always putting down the city of FlatRock and comparing us to other cities. Go any place but here. Wanna support local Taste boy is perfect.

Been looking forward to checking this place out. Was fully ignored but they said hi to a person that came in a minute after me. Much less selection than I expected so didn't purchase anything. May want to try being nice to everyone not just your regulars ?

I grew up in the Downriver area and have always been a huge fan of cute coffee shops. Somehow, I never came to Blue Heron Trading Company until recently, while looking for coffee shops to sit and apply for jobs with a friend. After stopping in today, my friend and I were both pleasantly surprised by how amazing this little shop is!

The space feels cozy and intimate, and the interior design is so pretty -- it feels like you're somewhere in New England. Divided into multiple sections, the shop features unique clothing, jewelry and accessories; bath and body products; upscale food items and kitchen accessories; gourmet vinegars; and coffee and tea, with a cafe counter to purchase handmade lattes, espresso, tea, and baked goods. There are also several small seating areas to enjoy time with friends either indoors and outdoors, depending on your preference and the weather.

Coming here was such a nice experience and I'll definitely be back in the future. I ordered an iced caramel latte with almond milk and a cherry turnover; my friend ordered an iced vanilla latte with a blueberry muffin. Everything was perfect (so much so that my friend even got a second latte to go)! The owner was also incredibly sweet and took time to talk with us about our day while she prepared our coffees, making us feel totally welcome. On top of that, the prices were excellent. I'm so glad to have discovered this spot -- I'll absolutely be back!

Vegetarian options: They offer delicious baked goods, like the cherry turnover I had or the blueberry muffin my friend ordered!

This place is amazing, beautiful store the nicest people. The coffee is my favorite coffee of all time, and the best blueberry muffins that have ever touched my lips. I live in jackson and when I'm back in the area I will always stop back by. Today was sample Saturday and we got to have bruschetta, the balsamic and olive oil on it was amazing. I love this place so much. Go check them out grab some coffee and cooking oils from a great small business.

Best coffee shop I’ve been to. Muffins are always fresh and the coffee is unbeatable. The shop itself is adorable and tons of cute items to look at as well as cooking supplies (they have their own infused olive oils and such). Fantastic place!!!
