So I was planning a 2nd visit to a BBQ place I found last trip to Flint but,my girlfriend who is a Flint native recommended Big John's. I got a super steak,onion& mushroom ,the 16 inch sandwich. $22 bucks and worth ever penny. The meat is seasoned perfect,the cheese is caramelized along with the onion and mushrooms on the grill for a perfect meat symphony. The bread holds up too. After a few bites I added banana peppers and it took the sandwich up another level. My lame picture doesn't do it justice, this is a steak lovers dream. By the way the half of the sandwich I couldn't finish I ate the next day and it was just as good reheated.

Being a Flint native but not being here for several years I couldn’t wait to go to big John’s. I went to the one on Dort Highway. The orders were not right, and we had to keep going back for corrected items.

I have been going to Big Johns for 50 years and I still love it. Even though I live on the other side of the state, my job allows me to make it there at least one or two times a month
Food was great. Bathroom was clean. Dining area not so much. Staff was not engaging.

Meats overseason taste weird and the sauce got to have it for the meat cuz the meat taste weird first time I would not pay that much for a sub ever again too expensive.
