So I was planning a 2nd visit to a BBQ place I found last trip to Flint but,my girlfriend who is a Flint native recommended Big John's. I got a super steak,onion& mushroom ,the 16 inch sandwich. $22 bucks and worth ever penny. The meat is seasoned perfect,the cheese is caramelized along with the onion and mushrooms on the grill for a perfect meat symphony. The bread holds up too. After a few bites I added banana peppers and it took the sandwich up another level. My lame...
Being a Flint native but not being here for several years I couldn’t wait to go to big John’s. I went to the one on Dort Highway. The orders were not right, and we had to keep going back for corrected items.
They got Steak and Onion. Nuff said. Don't be asking for any other silly stuff. It's Steak and Onion. No, they don't have Tempeh. No, they aren't gluten free halal kosher farmer's market stand BS. Steak and Onion! That's what they have. Get it or get lost....
