What would I do without this place? Wait, yes, I'd drive all the way to Fenton. It is THAT good. The pastries and breads they sell are made with love. I had a scallion baguette with gorgonzola cheese spread and it brought tears to my eyes. Yes, I scarffed down half of it in my car in the parking lot. No regrets. This stall is in the Flint Farmers Market, one of my favorite places in Flint. The atmosphere is so friendly and cultural. It brings everyone together, far and wide. I highly recommend stopping at this stall though... Go on, carb load, you know you wanna... I won't tell anyone, I swear!

This is the Crust stall at the food market in Flint, not the original store in Fenton, thank goodness Crust sells here! I had never heard of Crust. I am not from the area but in Flint for a 5K. After this experience, I would definitely drive to Fenton to buy more! We bought the baby rhubarb pie, the chocolate/cherry bread, the peanut butter/jelly donut and the doggie cookies! (It's hard to buy just one thing here!) It was all good but OH MY GOD, the donut! It's a rich and thick berry jam inside and a peanut butter frosting that's A May Zing. I could've bought ten more things here... I have to go back.

Wonderful breads and other concoctions! Make sure to buy one of those bread bags - you get a discount on bread when you use it so it pays for itself very quickly! And don't forget about their punch card too. Thursdays are Throw-Back Thursdays, where they take a treat from childhood (like Twinkies or Ho-Hos) and "remake" them but with like... fresh ingredients... I had a King Dong once and I nearly died it was so fricken good.
Best bread I've ever had, so much so I truthfully can't stand the stuff from the grocery store any more. I definitely don't feel that's a bad thing. Their pastries are also amazing, and our dog loves their treats too.

Definitely warrants the hype! We stopped in around 4pm on a Friday and it was still busy. I got some of the peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. I also got some of the doggie treats. My dog scarfed it down right away and was ready for more. The prices are spot on for a typical bakery but if you do think they seem on high end then please rest assured that everything is fresh and great quality.

I wish I had never heard of this place. I am fixated on when I can get a loaf of bread next. Almond croissant

FYI This is a review of the Flint location at the farmer's market, not the original flagship store in Fenton. DO NOT MERGE THEM TOGETHER AGAIN! Thank you! This is an entirely separate entity and business listing, similar to a franchise having several locations. Okay? Thankfully, for the residents of Flint, the owners of Crust, a Fenton-based baked goods shop, have opened a stand at the Flint Farmer's Market downtown. Now, we can get some of Crust's bakery delights without driving all the way out to Fenton. Crust's pretzel twists and cookies are delicious, every little mouthful is something to savor. The pretzel twists are the bomb! Artisan breads and bagels are better than the heavily processed variety, too. Their prices on baked goods are higher than what one might find in the bakery aisle of the average grocery store, but the quality is very good. Everything is baked fresh daily. Crust offers a rewards card that adds up if you are a regular shopper. I have one. You can use it at both the Flint and Fenton locations. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-6 and Saturdays 9-5.
