Stopped by with my kids today. I have been following them on social media for awhile and wanted to stop in. Bought a few items and everything was wonderful. The ladies there were all wonderful and even offered my kids a small sample. Highly recommend and I will return. My only regret is that I didn't make it here sooner!

Is is 12:40 pm. My first time coming to here. They were little busy. I never was greeted or asked to be helped. I was totally ignored. So I sat in the parking lot and ordered some food from Corunna grill. Holy land bakery is not the place for me.
Totally nailing their Palestinian roots, this family-run spot is legit! The falafel, whether you grab a sandwich or munch on pieces, is on point. Don’t even get me started on their pastries and the fresh pita straight from their special oven! With sides like Hummus, Tabouleh, and Baba Ghanoj, plus daily fresh meals, it’s all super fresh and tasty. They’re also ready to take your special orders. Highly recommend!

Finally made it out to this little gem of a bakery. These women make a legit selection of Palestinian sweets and meals. We had all sorts of questions and they patiently answered them all. We wanted to make a yogurt dish that we had more than a decade ago and they figured out what we were talking about somehow, provided us with ingredients and the directions on how to make it. We also picked up Kibbee, Manakeesh (spelled wrong most likely), and grape leaves to have some delicious meals all week. When we asked for Kanafeh, they did not have it but said if we order it ahead they would be happy to make it for us. We did. They carry baklava trays from Dearborn, which we picked up. On top of the display case are some sweets that they make in house- try the date cookies, they were delicious! They also have a variety of spices and common middle eastern ingredients available for purchase- all the stuff that you can't find at Meijers or Krogers. They apologized that they could not close the pita bag since it was still steaming hot out of the oven :) We really enjoyed the visit and these wonderful ladies and will be feasting for the rest of the week. Highly recommend this place and if you are looking for something specific, call ahead- odds are in your favor they will graciously prepare it for you.
