The food here is fantastic with a wonderful mix of flavors. It makes my day every time I can swing by here for lunch. And if you are here in the latter part of the year, she makes an amazing chili for the Farmer's Market Chili Cookoff. 5 stars isn't enough of a rating, she deserves a 10/10.

SO so good! As a lover of all things Caribbean food, this spot is the real deal! Jerk chicken literally FELL off the bone. The lady was very sweet, the portions were amazing, easily will get 2 dinners out of one meal. I can’t recommend enough, will absolutely be back and very soon!

And to top everything off the owner of this place is so kind. Try it and spread the word she deserves all the business in the world plus more.
There isn’t even close to enough stars to rate this place! Food is outstanding! The flavors are second to none, her customer service is so warm and motherly. The only downfall is that more people don’t know about this place so that she could get her own restaurant! I could only imagine the things she could cook up if she had a fully functioning kitchen. DO NOT HESITATE! Your taste buds will thank you later!
Oxtail was AMAZING! The rice, plantains and cabbage were also so awesome. Huge portion of deliciously sticky and savory oxtail perfectly cooked- you can feel the love in the food! Everything spiced and seasoned to perfection. The ladies were so nice and friendly. I’ve also tried the shrimp and my husband had the jerk chicken which was PHENOMENAL! Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys trying new food, flavors were sensational!

First, the service was excellent. Our food was hot and fresh. We ordered the oxtail dinner with macaroni and cheese and cornbread. The serving size was good portions, and the flavors remind me of home. Thank you, Island Express, for bringing the islands to Michigan.
