There isn’t even close to enough stars to rate this place! Food is outstanding! The flavors are second to none, her customer service is so warm and motherly. The only downfall is that more people don’t know about this place so that she could get her own restaurant! I could only imagine the things she could cook up if she had a fully functioning kitchen. DO NOT HESITATE! Your taste buds will thank you later!
Oxtail was AMAZING! The rice, plantains and cabbage were also so awesome. Huge portion of deliciously sticky and savory oxtail perfectly cooked- you can feel the love in the food! Everything spiced and seasoned to perfection. The ladies were so nice and friendly. I’ve also tried the shrimp and my husband had the jerk chicken which was PHENOMENAL! Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys trying new food, flavors were sensational!

It's so good.Believe it or not, I flew THREE hours on a wing and a prayer based on a word-of-mouth referral, so glad I did! ?? The anticipation was worth it—this place is like a treasure hunt, a gem in the Davison market. I will be back!!!

First, the service was excellent. Our food was hot and fresh. We ordered the oxtail dinner with macaroni and cheese and cornbread. The serving size was good portions, and the flavors remind me of home. Thank you, Island Express, for bringing the islands to Michigan.

Today is Thursday the 16th… 11/16/2023 went up there today it was closed!!! Said sorry for the inconvenience let me tell you the inconvenience… my co worker bought me a salad yesterday and I’m exchange we agreed on this place for work I am supposed to be bringing her a dinner! Now it’s going to look like I just ate the salad and not held up to my end of the bargain…. Not only that I paid someone $45 to go there and get the food…. This is unbelievable….how in the WORLD do you say you’ll be open and NOT …. We have been talking about eating this food all day I actually stayed up after work (I work midnights)for the food food to be delivered to me by the person I paid $45 to! They got there (drove 20 minutes plus)this morning at 11 am just to tell me they are closed I mean I will never ever ever ever do this again! I promise to God I won’t Thanks!

This place is a 10/10 every single time! They do not miss! The food is amazing and the customer service is top tier! Their oxtails, cabbage, jerk chicken, Mac & cheese and the rice and beans are amazing! Not sure if they still have the beef patties but those were great as well! You have to go early if you want the oxtails or they will be sold out!

The oxtail is seriously PHENOMENAL! Jerk chicken is also amazing. The plantains are perfect and the rice is sooooo delicious. Definitely worth driving over any days the farmers market is open just for this food. The ladies are also very sweet.

I went here amazing service it was when they were closing I spent 20 something dollars and she gave me so much food for me and my daughter! It was so yummy she also gave my daughter a free juice she dropped it and then she let her pick another one! So sweet , I’ll be back I’m just way tooo late! Definitely a must try.

I hate to do this but paying $25 for oxtail you expect the meat to fall off the bones... But all I got was bones and grissles. Fat and bones for $25 is crazy because since the Rona the oxtail quality has progressively gone down but understandably prices gone up. I feel robbed.
