I just returned from the most horrendous experience at Saganos in Flint. I have been a regular at this restaurant for 11 years. Birthday's, Anniversary's, Valentine's Day, special occasions, it's been our favorite restaurant and go too for many years, and we generally eat there once a month. Today I ordered take out totaling $106,000, and the amount of food I received was really insulting. Let me preface this by stating that I am 63 years old, and in those 63 years, I can't ever remember complaining about food. I'm not that person. I asked for them to please make it right and give me the food that I paid for. I was bounced around from the cashier, to the waitress, to the Sushi chef...of them telling me that the food was just fine and they were not going to give me the food that I paid for. Then the owner, a gray haired woman, came into the dining room and began to shriek at me at the top of her lungs in front of her staff and all the diners. I was completely shocked, embarrassed and felt like I was in some kind of alternate universe. I finally left, but felt completely abused by people who I thought respected and appreciated our business. Suffice to say, I am never returning to Saganos. I thought of them as family, friends who I frequented to celebrate meaningful occasions and special times. My integrity was diminished and me feelings are hurt. Shame on you Saganos, you should have done better.

The food was amazing! Came in for my Mom's birthday and as soon as the chefs left the servers came around with some boxes. It's like they were rushing us out. Could have left us eat our food forreal.

Our dine in experience was great and the food was delicious, BUT when I put in a to go order for noodles I had to wait for an HOUR before getting my food. It was busy, but that is no excuse in my opinion to take an hour to cook up some noodles. I actually waited for my to go order longer than it took for myself and my family to be seated, visit, eat our food and have it packed up to go.

I’m not normally an adventurous eater and I was intimidated my first time there. I recently went for the second time and it is now one of my favorites. The food is delicious and the preparation is entertaining. The service was exceptional. It’s more expensive than I prefer but was absolutely worth it as a sometimes treat.

A very fun place to enjoy a family birthday celebration. The chefs were excellent, and entertained while cooking with some humor. The food was very good. Many gluten free items to pick from. Reservations are encouraged with a bigger group or even a smaller one. It's a very busy place. The service staff were very nice and helpful.

We came in last night for my son’s 14th birthday. We were very lucky to have a wonderful server. I believe her name was Mercedes? I may be wrong. She was absolutely excellent. If not for her, my rating would be even lower. Saganos used to be a really upscale establishment. In the past few years it’s truly gone down hill. #1 The food. Although the price has just about doubled, the quality is poor. My husband and I both got the filet and the only way I can describe it is that it tasted like a farm smells. We couldn’t even eat it. We tried to reheat it today and now our house smells. #2 The other waitress on staff yesterday, a woman with long brown hair whose name I didn’t catch, was very clearly high. Most definitely on some hard drugs. She was all over the place and it was distracting. She was dropping things, looked like she was going to fall on the grill, just tweaking. It was concerning and embarrassing to watch and you could tell the patrons who were seated at her tables were also uncomfortable and concerned. Maybe we will try another location in the future, but I can’t see us returning to the flint location.
