Nice atmosphere. I didnt expect to get water in a plastic solo cup. My friends thought the tall alcoholic drink they were served was awful. We all had dessert. The tiramisu and gelato, which were both delicious. The service was good. I'd like to go back for sure.

Food was good. The restaurant is basically in the “lobby” of the hotel and isn't very cozy. It has nice decor. I was given a set of utensils that had been used and were wrapped back up into the napkin, crumbs and all. We were told bread was coming but it never did. And we never got the chance to ask because waiter never came back. Table beside us was never cleared from the couple that had left (right when we first got there). No salt or pepper on table. No grated parm either. Waiter said they were full with only 2 wait staff and 1 bartender. We were there before a concert - so management should have known they would be busy - even if it was just a few hours. I won't be going back any time soon even though the food was good, the experience wasn't.
Took my dad and wife for Father's Day burgers at sauce. He was super excited to go. He hears us talk about Sauce a lot. Upon arrival, we seated ourselves. Our waitress greeted us, brought us menus, and one water. She said she was going to bring us more waters but she disappeared for 10 minutes and we did not see her or get more waters. She reappeared about 10 minutes later to greet other guests that came in and tell them to seat their self. She did not acknowledge us when she walked by either time. We didn't even get to order drinks. She showed up about 5 minutes later after that. So a total of 15 minutes had elapsed. She brought us a Father's Day special menu and immediately asked if we wanted to order dinner. Never once asked us for drinks or anything else besides our dinner order. She did bring us a high noon that we did not order and seemed very confused when I told her that wasn't ours, seem how we didn't even order drinks. So it kind of ruined Father's Day dinner. She came across very pushy when we wanted to leave and not order food she sarcastically said she could get speedier if we wanted her to. It took me a few days to think about whether or not I wanted to submit a review. I decided to after my wife told me how disappointed my dad was that he couldn't enjoy himself or get the elk burger that he looked forward to eating.
Wow!! Me and my (use to be girlfriend now Fiancé) love this place! Last Friday I had a tight schedule because I was proposing and I informed the staff that I needed to be out by a certain time... wow did they deliver!! They were so quick and so nice and our waitress (wish I could remember her name but don't unfortunately) was so sweet and made us feel welcomed and taken care of while also being speedy. The food was great and the live music was great. Cherry on top she left a heart on our bill! Every time we've been it's great but this time was even more special. Thank you Sauce!
Went there for an early dinner. The "all -day" menu is small and simple- mainly consisting of pasta, pizza, and American- Italian dishes. The pasta, in general, wasn't anything really to brag about. However, the mushroom ravioli was decent and probably the best pasta they serve. The sauces vary- they are okay but not outstanding, but the arrabbiata did have some heat. The salmon was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. Same for the "scampi" sauce with adding shrimp (not worth the extra price for the lackluster and few shrimp). The cannoli was just okay. The beer and wine options again are just okay- especially for the prices they charge. The service was okay - a bit slow. It wasn't busy while we were there, so the noise level was low, but based on the high ceilings, I'm sure it could get loud in there. Overall everything was "just okay." It wasn't stellar but it wasn't bad either. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to eat here, but if you are near and want a place to eat that's nice inside, try here. I have heard that the breakfast / brunch is decent- so maybe this is where this restaurant shines and a reason to try it.
We made a reservation for 7. We were seated over 20 minutes late. After we were seated we sat for over 10 minutes by the time a server came. He then told us that the kitchen was pretty behind and it would be a long wait. It was a disappointment for sure after having made reservations ahead of time. A little after 7:45 we left when our order still hadn't been taken.
Excellent food & nice presentation. Good to have a nice restaurant with resonable prices in downtown Flint. Unfortunately, it appeared that they were shortstaffed and therefore, although the server was polite, it definitely wasn't the caliber of this restaurant. The ambience and noise level are typically good for a nice quiet meal. However, this evening they were having a fashion show upstairs, which made the 2nd half of a 5pm reservation, not very pleasant. Once this started there was very loud music and microphone use that made it difficult to converse. It would've been nice to have known this was going on before we made our reservations.
The best dining experience I have ever had downtown flint. The hostess went out of her way to clean a table for us when she understand the nature of the occasion. The waitress even brought us free dessert because we "were so nice". Top notch experience and would recommend immediately to friends and family.
The food was very average. The chicken Marsala had a heavy gravy sauce. My sisters salad was served along with her meal, even though she requested it first. Her pasta dish was very average. My brother's pizza was really loved by him. Our waitress must have been very new as she was very timid and almost too aprehensive. Hopefully she will get better.
Service was good, entertainment was great. Food left something to be desired. Bruschetta should have been diced tomatoes, not halved grape tomatoes, the crossing was over-toasted. Coating on the Chicken Marsala was soggy, and the sauce was not sufficiently reduced, and the mushrooms were somehow under sautéed, yet overcooked. You should refrain from having things on your menu that you've never prepared before.

This restaurant has great potential, we've dined in a couple of times but there seems to be some hiccups. Food: food is great, there is a slight lack of consistency but the flavors are there. Temperature needs improving, food always seems to come out colder than normal. Price for portions is slightly high, but they do have good quality. Drinks: if they're made correctly they're great, but last night the bartender seemed more concerned with conversations with waitstaff than drinks. Waited 15 minutes for a simple cocktail and was one of two tables sat at the time. Service: lack luster at best. Server had to check to see if items were in at 4:30 (if you open at 4 for dinner, you should know what's not available to sell). Had to ask for refills and napkins several times, she forgot to bring food to the table on more than one occasion. Service was slow considering there were only five tables in the entire restaurant. Management: the male manager has always been friendly and upbeat. Last night there was a female manager that reminded me of a teenager with a cell phone. We were inside for 1.5 hours and she never once was off of her cell phone. Texting and making phone calls, it was always in her hand. She was on social media in the bathroom, standing at the host stand on the phone, walking the dining floor phone in hand. Never once saw any other employee even with a phone in their pocket. Looked very unprofessional to see management walking with a cell phone and in that manner. Location: great location right downtown. Parking is ample and easy to find. All in all, after last night our chances of returning are slim. We were initially excited to finally have and find great Italian food in town. Between the lack of service and mediocre food (last night) it's hard to justify paying the prices to be let down.
The service was terrible. We waited for a server for 15 minutes to just get some water and finally just had to go to the bar to get a waiter. Then were told we needed to get our food in right away because there was a larger party there otherwise we would be waiting for our food (which we did either way). We never got a refill on our drinks, I had to continue to go to the bar to get those. We were also told fresh bread was on the way and when we finally got it, it was like it came out of the fridge. Overall it was not a great first experience.
We went for brunch. Service started out spotty and turned to abysmal. After ten minutes we had neither water nor menus nor an offer of coffee or drinks. Five orders arrived, but the sixth did not. When it finally did--after the rest of us had finished our meals--the order was wrong and had to be sent back. We were comped on two meals and a round of drinks, and the food itself was good--but this is a restaurant that really needs to get its act together.
This is not a review of the food quality as I was not able to eat. My reservation was for 9:30. We arrive and are seated and by 9:35, our server comes over to inform us that the last call for the kitchen is 9:45. He then walked off and didn't come back to us before we left at almost 9:50 as we were not going to be able to eat. What is the purpose of being able to set a reservation at that time if the kitchen is closing? There were reservations available until 11 pm!
Food is overpriced and there are only appetizers on the menu. For the price I was expecting a higher quality. The atmosphere is pretty wonderful and it makes up for the food. Its a better place to socialize than to eat. I love the rooftop.
