After a long time, I was finally able to come in on a day when it was open to try it out. Sadly, the final product did not completely live up to the expectation. I hear they are or were the best burgers in town. It wasn't bad, but I had more flavorful burgers from other places, whether coney islands or Culvers (etc.). The fries, even when I put salt on them, were on the bland side, I did not finish those. The service was really nice. I could felt she wanted me to have a good...
It's a bar that changes with the time. And, it's been around a long, long time. The food is good. The hamburgers and accompanying fries, onion rings, etc., are very good. You can smell the history of the place in the air. And that is not a bad thing.
Disappointed. Stopped in for lunch with a coworker because we wanted a good burger. Used to love the food here. Not sure what’s going on lately though. “1/2 lb” burger is more like 1/4 lb. And 1/4 more like 1/8th. Bun was soggy. I have had better and bigger burgers at Burger King.
