Sorrento's Italian/Mediterranean Cuisine

Very disappointed. We have gone here for years and since new ownership it just is not the same. The people, food, atmosphere is all different and not for the better. We thought about going here for a birthday dinner but I had heard the restaurant was “temporarily closed”. I called today to see if it was true or if you were indeed still open and you do not have a message saying this but your message is a recording that you’re with another customer and to hold and you’ll be right with me. Unfortunately no one comes to the phone. After looking on Google, the listing says temporarily closed. You should put a message ok your answering machine explaining the situation. Highly disappointed!

This place is excellent. The food is great, love the pasta and the bread. The pizza is really good also. Hard to find a place with such good food like this one. You can't go wrong eating here.

The food here is Great. The best baked pasta around. Plus the pizza is really good also. The atmosphere is very nice. Can't beat it when it comes to good food.

This place used to be amazing and have wonderful food and a great atmosphere for a reasonable price. Since it has changed owners the food has been terrible everytime I have gone there in the last year or so. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. I've kept giving them chances for the past year hoping that maybe the new owners were just working out kinks, but unfortunately it has only become worse. I am sad to say that this place will never be what it used to and I will no longer be a customer. So sad to see such a great local restaurant go down hill.

I have dined in and ordered take out numerous times. I even have had them cater an event in the past. Always good food. And always good service. Will go there many more times in the future!

We picked up a delicious Supreme Pizza, salad & Spikes!!

We reserved the banquet room for my granddaughter's baptism. The food was great!! Pizza, salad, mostaccioli, bread sticks with great meat sauce. Wait staff was kind and attentive.

Their hummus is amazing! And my daughters loved their chicken bbq pizza! The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere.

Had a bridal shower in the backroom today.. Meghan was fantastic!!!! as was everyone who helped us out today.. The food was great!!!! I would definitely recommend it ☺️

We had a very large group celebrating a birthday. Our server was outstanding. All our food was hot and served correctly. Very nice job by everyone!

Several weeks ago I visited hoping to have a nice meal with my son. The manager fiddled with the TV for at least 40 minutes with the volume turned up, changing channels repeatedly. It was terribly annoying while trying to talk. We received our food and my Padre's delight was not what it used to be under old guard. Very mushy, as if it was attacked by the microwave and often. Figuring to meet in late January, I chose Sorrento's again to see my son. We requested a booth in the back, away from potential TV cruising. We ordered garlic spikes and cheese sticks. Our main entre was a personal pizza and chef salad. The waitress arrived after some time, apologized, and served the entire order instead of serving up our appetizers first as planned. We ate the cheese sticks, but the garlic spikes tasted awful. They were tainted, either bad butter or garlic. We told our intrepid waitress to please take the basket of spikes back, as they do not taste right at all. She did so, and after my son had another lemonade, she brought our bill. I was surprised to see that she charged us for the spikes, as if she did not hear our concerns. This restaurant used to be one of the finest in Flushing with excellent waitstaff, delicious food, and quality management. My recent visits were met with indifference, and I will not return.

I had a gift certificate that I needed to use. Unfortunately, it was a bad decision. This place used to have really good food but that was when it still had the original owners.I'm not sure who decided to mix Mediterranean cuisine and Italian but it doesn't work. The food flavors were not at all what I am used to. If you have never had either of the two cuisines then you might not be as disappoint as I was. I give the food 2 thumbs down.McDonald's on a bad day would have been better.The building and dinning area has so much potential but overall I would save your money.

bread was cold and doughy. Ceasar salad was iceberg lettuce with ceasar dressing and pepperoni? Baked mostocholi was burnt and not edible. Alfredo my wife got had deli ham sliced up and put in it? Our waitress was very attentive, and did her part well which is why I give them a 2 star and not 1.
