Frankenmuth never disappoints! We went for my free birthday dinner. Love the food, the atmosphere, & the shopping!
A bit disappointing in that our server gave us alcoholic beer when non-alcoholic was requested. Wine was very slow to arrive. Gluten free meal wait was very long and then it was white meat instead of dark meat as requested. 3 sides came but 4 were told were part of the GF meal. Free dessert was offered which was a very small piece of cake for 4 people to share?! Not equivalent to the meal price. It's been 20 years since we've been to the Bavarian Inn. ;-( Not sure what happened...very sad. Food was good but geez.
This was an amazing experience. Analycia our waitress was the best. The food so delicious and fresh. Thank you Bavarian Inn Restaraunt.
Our waitress was a nice young high school girl who was an angel.. Her personality and conversation was a true unexpected pleasure.. The food was excellent and she took care of every detail.. In todays society it was a huge plus !!
My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Bavarian Inn restaurant. We were there celebrating my birthday! The service was fantastic. Our server was very upbeat and made sure we had refills before we even had to ask. There was an extremely talented gentleman playing the accordion during our meal. Which was very welcomed! Overall we had a great time and will be visiting again in the near future!
Stollen bread was stale, white bread had mold on it, taste profile on all food has changed for the worse, waitress would not come by to refill coffee until I had long run out, overall very poor return visit after not going for a year or so, will not be returning
Great food and the chicken
The quality of the food as well as portion size has been getting worse over the past three years. We can for my wife's birthday dinner. The shrimp she ordered was rubbery and over cooked. Her baked potato was hard and hardly cooked at all. The chicken soup as well as the coffee was lukewarm. We did complain and the manager didn't even bother to come out to address the problem, our waitress offered us a free desert and that was it. It appears that since the next generation of the family took over running the place, tradition, food quality, and guess service have gone out the window in favor of profit and saving a buck. The only plus was our poor waitress Autumn who did everything she could to try to rectify the situation. This is really sad because when Dorothy and the previous custodians of the place were in charge the food was great and there were never any issues. We'll be heading across the street to Zhenders for our next visit.
Nice server, cute costumes, but food is bad. Some of it very salty, some of it very bland. Wouldn't recommend if you want to enjoy a meal. But is part of the Frankenmuth experience I suppose!
The restaurant is adorable! Our server was excellent and the food was amazing! Huge portions and so many options. The world's famous chicken it was! This place is a must eat restaurant if you're in Frankenmuth.

Beef for sauerbraten is wrong texture. Pork loin is good. The young folks at check in were confused and probably needed more training.
Everything was delicious! Service was excellent. Definitely hope to return someday. Highly recommend.
I made a reservation for 7:15 and was seated right away, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. Our server didn't seem to know much about the menu — when we asked if they had Labatt's, she said she didn't know anything about beer. I ended up ordering a Budweiser, which came out warm, in a warm mug. I also asked about the wine flight, and again, she didn't know, so I had to find it on the menu myself and point it out. We ordered the chicken dinner, and when she brought it out, she said, “The kitchen's getting ready to close. Is there anything else you need?” — and this was only around 7:45. We hadn't even started eating yet! Then around 8:15, I noticed other people were still being seated and ordering food. When I asked what time the kitchen actually closes, she said she didn't know. Overall, the experience felt rushed and unwelcoming — like the staff just wanted to go home. The food wasn't great either, which made the poor service even more disappointing. Honestly, I'm not sure I'll be back.
We were visiting Frankenmuth for a quick day trip, and after reading reviews about the Bavarian Inn we decided to give it a try. Our server, Ella, was absolutely delightful. She was friendly, kind, and had a great sense of humor for all of the questions we had. The Inn is lovely and obviously an important part of the town of Frankenmuth. The food was good. We aren't savvy to German cuisine, so we tried a lot of new things. We really enjoyed the pretzel, chicken, potatoes, carrot salad, and cranberry salad. The cost seemed to be more about the experience than the food. Know that if you are there at lunch but you are only given the dinner menu, you can still order the lunch portion and get the price...which we didn't know! Bonus: we loved the strolling accordion player!
The staff was amazing. The host, food server and supervisor went above and beyond helping my father and I tonight with our reservation and dinner. The staff truly made us feel welcomed. We will be back in the future. Thanks again.
