Cornbread was hard and old, no way was it warm and fresh likeit.used to be. With that being said they used to just serve cornbread to every table that is no longer the case. The fries were cold, the server was unable to break my $50 because she couldn't find the manager. 2 older gentleman wanted cobbler & apparently the cooks "couldn't find it"... not worth the money and WILL NOT be returning.

The live music was horrible, our server was inattentive, and our food was mediocre. We got nachos to share, and the green pepper and onion were chopped so big I could have easily cut them in quarters before eating a bite. The sweet potato fries were good. My mother ordered the brisket, which should have been tender and delicious, but it was chewy and dry. People rant and rave about this place, but we've never been impressed, though we keep trying, thinking we'll have a similar experience someday. We won't be returning for a while.

Came here with a group of 10. Service was good. Food was amazing. Except the pork rinds and Burnt Ends very disappointing.

Wings had good flavor but a little dry. Only tried the wings and pork rinds. Would come back but probably not for the wings.

Smoked wings are double cooked and F amazing after they’re fried! The French fries are fluffy and crispy, in a super amazing way. The potato salad is Grandmas recipe but great! Rib tips could be cooked slower because they always have a tough bark. Brisket is usually cooked past done and has little smoke flavor. This review as I read it seems negative but it’s being compared legacy bbq recipes and restaurants. Michigan has difficulty in acquiring mesquite and firing old school steel outdoor smokers. This bbq restaurant is my absolute favorite except for BALDWINS ON M46

I was so shocked at the price. Ridiculous, we ordered the combo platter with 3 different meats. 2 sides expecting it to be enough for 2 people, not even close 47. Dollars later, i'm in the kitchen fixing something for myself to eat. We won't be doing that ever again.
Good food. Service good. Better than the big chicken place in town.

Just noticed a past review and for the life of me why I gave this restaurant a bad review. This is a correction, the food is great! Their cornbread happens to be my favorite. My apologies to the business.
Can't forget the wings 🔥

Imagine yourself as me, a bachelor. A bachelor who cannot cook for the bleeding life of him…and then imagine an entire restaurant that I can effectively outcook. DON’T expend the brainpower to imagine it. It’s called Slo’ Bones BBQ. Serving a baked potato so moderate in quality Gordon Ramsey himself would have come from the grave (if he were dead) to ridicule. Brisket - could have made at home and would have saved me the bloating and sick feeling of mouth sweats (you know, the kind before you vomit) for the remainder of the evening. Had to have been boiled - don’t let the smoker pig deceive you, he’s just a conversation piece.
OH WAIT don’t forget the Alcoholic beverages (the ones they serve at the entire open bar that they have which is roughly half of all their seating) which are effectively non alcoholic. I drank a lovely fruit juice cocktail for dinner with the aforementioned baked potato. McDonald’s Apple juice would have given me more of a buzz and would have been fresher than the hours-old tangerine draped generously over my fruit cocktail.
I could hear it crying. It was telling me: “You should have gone to Prost or Poblanos, and spared me the miserable fate of being the least fresh fruit you’ve consumed this week despite the black bananas on your counter you ate for breakfast this morning.”
To which I would have said, “Yes, but dine and dashing is impolite.” I digress.
Actually I don’t. I was seated by an unenthusiastic, unkind, UNHostpitable Hostess who would have much rather not done what she was doing. (But I mean who doesn’t feel like that when they’re working with people amirite?)
The waitress was nice though. She needs a raise. Or to get a job where they don’t serve food I am able to EASILY MAKE AT HOME AS A BACHELOR. she’s the only reason I gave a tip (in This economy of all things), which should say something to the pit master (I can’t put his name in here because it could be considered a cuss word in some circles) and the owners of this establishment. That thing is, Do Better. Won’t eat here again, not that y’all even care. <3

Boiled food. its a bar. The food we received pork sandwiche u could not pick up after 2 minutes. mushy soggy. onions and cheese pretty nasty. Sorry guys, the food was not good for us. Pick 2 meats. Everything tasted the same, like leftovers reheated.

I would like to give a better review but I can't. This was some of the driest, blandest BBQ I've ever had. When the sauce is the best part of the meal it's disappointing. None of the meat had any smoke flavor. The brisket was like very dry pot roast, and the chicken quarter reminded me of shake and bake from the oven, cornbread was very dry and overly sweet. Also very small quantity for the price.

Is the meat really even smoked? Burnt ends aren’t burnt ends. Tasteless and dry meats. Long wait even when not busy. Very disappointed.

My friend and I decided to eat at your establishment as she had recently eaten there and she raved about your battered chicken tenders, she said they where huge strips of lightly beer battered chicken.
What we received was not lightly battered chicken,it looked like huge pieces of cod.
When I cut into a piece the batter was very thick, slightly crisp on the outside but really thick and soggy on the inside, with small chicken tenders.
I will say the chicken that was there was moist and tender, couldn't taste any seasonings though.
My friend kept saying this is different from before, not as good,we both said obviously it was a different cook.
When I got home I removed all the batter and will say it was 1/4 chicken and 3/4 batter.
Going forward it would be nice if everyone was trained the same so that the food served was consistent.
My husband and I have eaten at your restaurant regularly in the past, so this was a try it again type thing,I won't be spending $22 on chicken tenders and fries again.

We usually love ur fajitas with brisket... Not sure what happened but this last time it was awful ... Meat was gross .. hard cubes ? Poor waitress seemed to have entire restaurant while there were several people working behind bar that should have been helping her... Sadly it will be a very long while before we will maybe try ur restaurant again ...
