Me and my family recently stopped in and I saw they had açaí bowls. I was so excited to see it on the menu and ordered it. Boy was I disappointed when it came out and it was soupy, watery and tasteless. The berries on it looked like fruit topping, not fresh at all. The granola was just oats on top. Definitely disappointed in this experience as we’ve been coming to Frankfort for years and it’s our first time trying The Cool Spot. Looking back at another comment it looks like this is a common occurrence with the açaí bowls. I unfortunately could not eat and tossed a few minutes after receiving it. So take my word and DO NOT ORDER THE AÇAÍ BOWLS! ….especially for how expensive they are.

The Cappuccino Chiller was AMAZING! I wanted a cold coffee drink and could not decide until I looked at the end of their main menu on the wall (versus the seperate coffee menu at the end of their kitchen area.) There I found... The Cappuccino Chiller! (I had caramel in mine. Next time I might do a double shot.)

We had stellar service at the Cool Spot while in town for the triathlon all four times we stopped by for ice cream (no judgement—it was a vacation, okay?). Christa was fabulous and absolutely crushed the late night rush! The ice cream was delicious and definitely satisfied my craving for classic Michigan flavors that I can only get when I’m visiting home! Would totally recommend stopping in for a scoop of Blue Moon if you’re nearby!

The Cool Spot was a wonderful gem in downtown Frankfort! The ice cream was delicious, and for those with Celiac disease or concerns, they had TWO types of gluten free ice cream cones!
Christa, one of the employees, was rocking it being the only person on that evening and she was delightful! She was funny, made some delicious sundaes, and was very friendly and professional!
We loved it so much we went back multiple times! Definitely worth a stop for some ice cream!
Dietary restrictions: If you have an allergy, they are EXTREMELY careful to wash and sanitize the scooper before using it. They also offer lactose free options.
Kid-friendliness: They have a very kid friendly atmosphere there. They offer the Kool kidz scoops for kids under 10. They're so nice to everyone!
Have visited here in the past but my last experience was a let down. For what you pay I expected better. The butter pecan was the worst ice cream I have ever had in a long time.
