So, just moved here from Texas. Looked up best places in this area and this place was great! .Staff was wonderful! Made me feel welcome, right at home and the brussel sprouts were delicious! Catfish.... Chef's 💋 kiss! super yummy!! Jalapeno Burger, I highly recommend!!! Love this place!!!

Remembering the Friday Fish of the past (Sauble River Inn) Disappointed. We won’t be back unless something changes.

Ordered 3 perch dinners. Was not told of upcharge to trade out the french fries. Fish was under cooked, coleslaw was brown and was dry not enough dressing, soup was lousy, and fries were OK. Got one soda and 2 waters and the bill was 85 dollars. Sorry we stopped here food was not good. with tip it was 100 bucks. will never stop here again!

We called to see if they were open and they said yes we are open till people are coming in and drove a half hour to get there for us to tell us when we get there and sit down the kitchen closed at 9! And we called at 8:40 ...Probably something you should let people know if they call and just assume people are coming for drinks. First and last time

Went for an outdoor event out back for about 150 to 200 people, the bar was minimally stocked and only 1 person was mixing drinks. The lines were long and slow. You pay for your food and get your food ticket at that same location so if your not drinking you are stuck in the same line. Need a separate food line and more people behind the bar. The space is very nice and so were the people. I never made it indoors so my rating isnt for that part of the facility.

Tried Docs when they first opened, wasn't impressed, but thought I would give it another shot. NEVER AGAIN!! The restaurant is very loud and it took FOREVER to get our food and they weren't even that busy. Appetizer came out with our food, not before hand. Gave the waiter a little bit of a break because he seemed relatively new. I got The Freesoil Salad for a dinner. Came out on a regular side salad plate with maybe a cup of iceberg lettuce, some slivered red onion, and probably less then 1/4 cup of blue cheese crumbles and walnuts and cranberries all for only $12.00....wth???? I asked 2 servers if it was correct and they both said yes. Again, wth??? Then to top if off wanted chicken to add to it. What did I get for an additional $5.00?? One small deep fried chicken finger on a plate cut up; absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! My daughter got a side of chips with salsa with her meal and hardly touched them. When I asked her why she said the chips were stale. I told the waiter, he apologized, and then proceeded to charge us $4.00 for them. I did finally get them taken off the bill, but honestly that was a $90.00 bill with tip that I wish I would have never paid. DO BETTER!!

Truly lousy food. I didn't know you could ruin walleye. Perch old and smelly. Deep fried gizzards so oily that when I reheated them at 450 degrees and drained them on paper towels, I still had to squeeze them in multiple napkins. Nothing could be saved from a $70 meal. I guess when you are the only restaurant in the area, you can get by.

We ordered three LAKE perch dinners, I asked how many pieces of fish came in the dinner and the lady said three pieces of fish. So I said I would like three more pieces of fish. We ended up with all three dinners having an additional three pieces of fish. That would've been OK had the fish been worth it, but it was without a doubt, the worst perch I've ever eaten at docs. It tasted more like ocean perch, the skin was still on it, and it was so fishy tasting, even my brother-in-law couldn't eat it. We had ordered a kids meal too and they forgot the drink so my sister had to go back in to get the drink. Doc's used to be the only place we would go to in order to get perch and normally dine in 2-3 times while we in town visiting just to get the perch. Unless they go back to what they originally served for lake perch, we won't be back.

Have only been there once. The servers are wonderful. They really care and are attentive. The location is terrific and the prices are reasonable. We're from out of town but would definitely go there again.
