Hubby and I went in to Porter Haus tonight we were happy to see the parking lot so full, however I was a little bummed to see so many snowmobiles. (The gas smell gives me a headache). Let me tell you though, they have perfect cubbies for helmets and gear right by the door. The energy was so happy and light in there that I quickly lost track of the smell. We were promptly greeted and seated by a local young lady, shout out to Josie! Jacqueline came around for drink orders followed by dinner recommendations as I wasn’t in the mood for my usual steak (which is always perfect). I opted for spaghetti and meatballs with breadsticks and Caesar salad. BAM knocked it out of the park- hubby had dinner envy, so I shared. Things took a little longer than usual, but see the service team hustling and working together was incredible! They prebussed each others tables, never went to kitchen or out of the kitchen empty handed, and took care of each others people with getting refills, boxes, or extras. WOW! It made me want my girls to work here. All other guests were happy and everyone enjoyed a night out. It really was as though all the guests were invited to dinner at their leisure and all the staff was simply there to make sure that everyone was taken care of! Well done Jacqueline!! You are a treat and your team is solid.

Went for Thanksgiving ran out of prime rib. 3 adults chose king crab legs instead of course almost twice the price and the portion was not a pound. I to satisfy my curiosity googled how many legs per pound and it said for collosial king crab one per pound. Here you got one half size portion for a full size price. Shame on them. This is the first time going out to eat on holiday next year I will spend my money somewhere else this was a Hugh mistake. It was not our fault you were ill-prepared I wasn't offered a gift card until I complained on yelp and at which time I declined it because I would not spend another penny at your restaurant and although I may have been upset your server was properly compensated So how dare you ruin a perfect day with your lousy food and expect someone to be grateful for being ripped off. You have alot of nerve So next year when you f up someone else's experience because you are to ignorant to learn from your mistakes. How dare you call a guest in your restaurant a pouty child because you ran out of the prime rib. Funny the table next to us wasn't happy either. Thanksgiving could have been a Huge money maker for you and you dropped the ball next year don't start drinking until after you answer reviews.

Best Rib in MI. Juicy and soft. First time trying gater meat. Interesting experience. If you are passing, I would strongly recommend checking this place out.

Had dinner on a Saturday. Really busy but not a terrible wait for a table. Staff was really great, and fast at getting drink refills while we waited for our food. He had the mac and cheese with bacon. It was huge! I got the bluegill. Best I’ve had in a long time.
