5 stars for the bagels! We were so pleasantly surprised when we tasted them. These are worth the drive!
I visited this morning in search of a breakfast option. This was my first time at any Big Apple Bagels location. I was very impressed with the wide selection of freshly baked bagels. I was welcomed by Nicole, who was friendly and helpful. We discussed this is my first visit. I was able to choose from the large variety of bagels. Nicole asked which two I had narrowed it down to and recommended the Swiss bagel, mentioning that it is particularly popular with their customers. I took her suggestion and ordered a breakfast bagel with Swiss. Chloe then prepared my order efficiently. Both employees were welcoming and attentive, contributing positively to the experience. The quality of my breakfast bagel sandwich was excellent. Overall, I highly recommend Big Apple Bagels in Jenison.
Got some bagels for the office. They were good and service was good as well.
The bagels are really hit or miss - either absolutely amazing or mushy.
A new favorite bagel spot!! I've been wanting to come here for years. So happy we finally went! The bagels were so fresh and soft. Will definitely be back!
Been coming there for years - The bagels are great, but the manager lady has very poor customer service. This last time, They burnt my wife’s bagel sandwich ( the sides were black like burnt ash and parts of the bottom were hard and black). We like toasted bagels but in this case it even tasted burnt, so she asked for a new one.
The manager was really loud about it when my wife brought it back - she yelled “ what’s wrong ma’am” in an annoyed way, enough for my 10 year old daughter to say to me “ wow, she’s kind of rude dad ” … crazy that a 10 year old would notice that.
Then she/ the manager brought another one out to our table, and instead of just apologizing she told my wife “ just so you know is how they toast them she toasted all our bagels the same way so it’s normal, and that she needs to ask it to be lightly toasted next time if she doesn’t like it this way…..” so basically it’s her fault. She made the interaction super awkward and uncomfortable, over a burnt bagel she clearly burnt?
We have a lot of bagels there and it’s never came out that burnt, never tasted burnt, and my bagel and my kids all came out not looking or tasting burnt
You run a BAGEL restaurant- the thing you should get right is the bagel, right ? And then to make a huge deal and blame the customer? It wasn’t even busy there, so it’s not like we were adding to some crazy rush or pressure. She just didn’t like to admit she made a mistake.
We weren’t looking for an apology, or anything free or anything like that - but for people who have been coming there for years, we don’t appreciate being told we are wrong for their mistake.
the inside was cozy, and the employee was sooo nice! i got a sausage and cheddar sandwich on cheddar herb with veggie cream cheese, and a hot toasted cinnamon latte. both were yummy. my roommate was the one who recommended this place, and i will be coming back

Good bagels
It’s such a shame that this place is chronically understaffed and has been for some time. The bagels and muffins are delicious and worth stopping in for (no drive-thru) but you must be prepared to wait, especially during peak times like mornings and lunch time. They’ve had a Now Hiring sign up for months… maybe they don’t pay a high enough wage? The owners should make the muffin racks and coffee both self-service with customers able to pay by card. They are losing business because of the lack of staff and long waits. This morning I ended up leaving after waiting in line too long and three other people did too. Not the first time. McDonald’s, Starbucks and Biggby are all within a block. This BAB needs to step up its game.

Oh my, the muffins! When we are in town we always stop in for a bagel or breakfast sandwich. This time we also brought back half a dozen muffins. By far the best, most moist muffins I’ve ever had. And I’m 70 yrs old!! The ones left over the next day were still just as moist and delicious. Treat yourself next time you there.

Zero internet and the staff said, we have no idea about that. Service is a production, no connection.

Love coming in for a breakfast or lunch bagel sandwich. The breakfast rancho is top notch on any flavor of bagel. Enjoyed a coffee there and a seat next to the fire place.

I'll start with what disappointed us, the breakfast sausage they use for their sandwiches is as bland and tasteless as you can get, next time it's ham or bacon all the way. That said, the Northern Omelet and Southern Tradition sandwiches were otherwise good, hefty portions and freshly made, but we needed that pop of breakfast sausage to make it a 5 start.Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere made for a nice experience.
