The food was a culinary delight, very satisfying, visually appealing, and one my taste buds are left curious to try more dishes. I ordered mushrooms for the appetizer, they were big, breaded well, and the bistro sauce is the best I've ever tasted. The chefs special was Garlic Muffin Hash Bowl, it was one of the BEST meals I've ever had that someone else cooked besides me. The fish and chips were closest thing to English Style that I've ever had. This is a must go to on any culinary enthusiast out there. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

You can get lunch or early dinner here, alone without anyone bothering you. Gibraltar is developing into a beautiful community. Love seeing old friends here from my old neighborhood on Adam's. Still living in Gibraltar Michigan 48173-9453.

Ever since new ownership-

Mediocre food- by no means above average.

Portion sizes are for children- unless it’s nachos or something that doesn’t cost money. Wife tried one of the specials and was four small pieces of beef with barely any noodles.

In my opinion, the only thing this place has going for it is it’s on the water.

CHARGE ME MORE MONEY, GIVE ME A BIGGER PORTION.

I say this all out of love and to just give feedback to a restaurant I used to love, but not sure if I’ll be going back….maybe next year to see if things have improved.

Under new ownership they don't seem to know how to cook a simple burger. Burnt outside, raw inside. I don't mean pink, I mean COLD inside. Looking at other reviews, I'm not alone. It's not that complicated to cook a hamburger. Definitely not what it used to be.

The food quality and pricing is a complete joke. The new ownership sucks.

I've been here a couple times with my dad and had great experiences so for my birthday this year I told my husband I wanted to go here, that was a mistake. They sat us in the back torn up booth, the waitress took my half full cocktail, when taking my husband's empty glass, which completely took me back, given I now have to pay $10 for half a cocktail. The pretzle bites are just hard bread with salt, nothing like pretzles. The drinks were not very good tasting besides one but that can be personal preference. The steak was expensive for how tough it was and half was fat or too tough to even eat. Its been at least a year since I had come here before, not sure if it's new management but I definitely would not recommend coming here nor will I return. It's a lot of money for food and drinks that aren't very good. JP Mcguires on the other hand always produces good food and drink so I think I'll just stick with the lower price tag and better quality at your other bar. I'm not one to normally write a bad review but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had.

The food was good, but there is so much grease. I put my shrimp on napkins, squished out a bunch, flipped them and did the same again. It really did a number on my digestional tract. The decor was awesome and the staff was great! And the views were very nice.

Update 3/13
We tried again and same… food took forever, no communication, never did figure out who our server was so we had to keep getting up and it was not busy, 3 other tables. Food was basic, not bad not great. Onion rings looked great but were soggy grease. Overall, we can pass on this place, still not impressed

Several cocktails ingredients were out of stock. Lady was smoking at table next to us so we had to move, management did nothing & spiders were all over patio (yes at tables too)

Mediocre food at best, nothing to go back for and paid over $170

Great food. Great staff. Great singer named bodine. The upstairs view of lake Erie with a nice cold drink is a good way to relax.
