Been coming here for over 25 years. Whomever the host was today was completely rude (he was on the outside station at 10:45 AM this morning, grey short beard). My wife, three kids and I went to put in a name. He wouldn’t tell us when we could be seated, just that breakfast was over. Then he said sometime on the patio whenever that opens up. I had to explain to my kids that some people just don’t want your business. He was clearly one of those, seemed to despise tourists. When I asked him why he was rude his answer was “that’s why they put me out here”. Really strange. I just noticed through other reviews that ownership changed a few months ago. Hoping the new owners see this review, and if they care, train up their host. In the meantime I’ll go to the many other great restaurants here, that welcome tourists. the coffee and baked goods are great at The Mill …. So long Arts.

A classic. Cash or check only but there's a Fifth Third ATM right next to Andersons Grocery Store on the corner the same side of the street as Arts Tavern. Enjoy!

Joe was our server and he was super kind and helpful. Great food. The best service. This was our second visit and we look forward to coming back next summer.

Definitely an overhyped “nostalgic” type place. My wife and I and two young kids arrived and sat outdoors. We ordered three burgers, some chicken tenders and a basket of fries. Our food took over 45 minutes to arrive. When it did, it was average at best. I had hoped for this amazing burger to be worth the wait, but it wasn’t. Definitely a one-and-done type place. $75 for lunch with no drinks. And let’s not forget, the bathrooms were disturbingly dirty and small. I felt unsafe taking my child in there.

Terrific spot! Fun and warm inside, super attentive and friendly servers. Historic feel. Fried smelt was delicious and so was the burger. Tasty fries, lava cake. Popcorn as you wait for your food. Excellent spot ..

Visiting with my family out of town and needed a lunch place after the dune climb. A relatively small menu, but the food was awesome, including several great options for vegetarians. Most stuff is house made and/or grilled right in front of you. We were seated right away and the server, Eliza, was super attentive and kind.

Very cool. Two different spot-on recommendations, beer and fish. Biking from DH Day, great day. If you come in with 10 people and expect space and right-now-ma'am service, please go home. This area is busy as hell, place is always full, like everything else here. Don't be the problem.
