Corn dogs were good, but the "famous" honey is squirted on afterward. I thought it would be part of the recipe. We got the Mini (which is a regular size hot dog) and the Smokey Cheddar, which is more of a bratwurst size. I'm knocking off a star because of the "kettle chips". The person said they make them each morning, but they certainly looked and tasted a LOT like a handful of sour cream and onion wavy chips out of a bag, complete with white powder on them, for $3. These should not be on the menu unless they are actually making them on the spot and served hot. Now I realize this is a franchise food truck and not local and original. Unfortunate.
I've been in the area on vacation for 5 days. After having a horrible experience at a local restaurant last night, we drove by the Corn Dog Company food truck. We turned around and from the moment I walked up until I happily finished my food, I was more than pleased! Nate waited on me the first night, he was great. I shares my order with my family and they had to return to get some for themselves. We went for dinner again tonight. Mia and Nate were there and had another amazing experience. The Epic hot dog is a 1/4 pound. I ordered it with a drizzle of spicy honey. Delicious! The hot dog itself has a nice snap when you bite into it, the corn bread surrounding the dog is crispy on the outside and soft buttery on the inside. The spicy honey adds another flavor dimension to this hot dog. For my taste it could be a little spicier. Give the Corndog Company a try. You won’t be disappointed.
