The food was ok. the main course was appetizer size. After dinner I went home hungry. Just not worth it.

Rye at the Mill is such a special place to stay! The room is beautifully decorated, offering a peaceful and quiet retreat. The natural setting by the Crystal River and along the lakeshore is truly unmatched. Plus, the café at the Mill serves 5-star coffee options and delicious food. I can’t wait to return!

This is most certainly a place I would return time and time again! The location and setting couldn't have been any more peaceful and pristine, located next to a creek where the trout were jumping. The accommodations were 5-star in every way with attention to detail in decorations and comfort. Situated next to the old mill which now houses a delicious cafe and restaurant made this lodging more of a destination than just a place to spend the night. And I almost forgot to mention how welcoming the "front desk" reception was! (My only suggestion is to get rid of the pea gravel so my suitcase can roll.)

This place was lovely! The coffee, sandwiches, and bread were so good that we ordered more for takeaway.

The setting and staff made the experience a delight. You can tell they pay attention to details here and we appreciated the extra touches.

Looking forward to visiting for supper!

Such a darling place. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We finally found the best coffee in town, hands down. We could spend hours in this beautiful place.

This is one of my new favorite hotels. For context, I traveled for 7 years straight for work, visiting over 60 countries and many of them on more than one occasion, so long story short, I have stayed in a lot of hotels.

We stayed in the Emmet room as I liked that it was on the second floor and it sounded like it had better views of the river compared to the other second floor room.

Self check in was a breeze as they just texted us a code to enter on the key pads.

The fridge in the room worked really well and also managed to keep my frozen items frozen.

For being right off a main road, it was very quiet in our room. We slept with the windows open the second night and it was perfect.

It appears that they invested a lot in the remodel and it really shows, everything in the room feels high end and intentional with smart aesthetic and design choices.

The coffee + pastry included in the stay was a nice bonus. Me and my husband are picky about coffee / espresso and their cafe drinks are very tasty.

This was my first time in Glen Arbor and the town is such a hidden gem. So much to do in a small space but has a calming, rural / nature feel.

We will almost certainly be back for a second visit some time soon.

Overpriced, smug staff and I’m currently enjoying a nice potential food poisoning with my gf from their “fresh” baked goods (the ones that are in the “heater” (it came to us at room temp). We called to warn them that we got sick and they basically said that’s not possible with zero apologies. If you’re just getting a coffee I guess it can be a cool spot as the ambiance is great but not worth the money if you just want a coffee to go.

edit to owners response; if you took food procedures & safety seriously then you wouldn't store 'hot' baked good in a barely above room temperature warmer and serve it to customers. Basically cost me my weekend and I had to pay 60$ for it.

Review is for cafe at dinner. VERY slow……
Caesar salad was very good, Braised beef was excellent! Roasted chicken was tender and okay. House Pasta with roasted peppers and chorizo was okay. Meal was so slow we decided to skip dessert. Portion sizes are not large…

Merci Ian, impeccable hospitality, knowledge of product and personnel table presentation. Every dish was sur la coche. This venue is beautifully decorated in a rustic and modern combo décor. It’s a must go for a grownup dinner out with people who love artistic food and beverage. We’ll not say « au revoir » we’ll just say « à la prochaine ».
