Called to ask if they had a specific item. They assured me they had 2 different sizes and quoted me prices. After calling 3 other places and them being the only place locally to have it, they were out of stock 20 mins after my phone call. Such a disappointment

Colony is a nice market (although quite expensive!) Yesterday I stopped in to pick up something for dinner and opted for their “Homemade vegetable lasagna”. It was so salty it was barely edible!🙁 Very disappointing as it was super expensive as well. I should have returned it.

Unfortunately the staff being hired is going to kill this business. Our family has been going here since it was located on Holly Road.
The kids they are hiring are rude, lazy and plain unhelpful.
Went in to get meats and salads for lunches.
The young boy at the cash register was a rude and useless as he could be. I asked whether there were other salads in the main fridge behind the counter as the ones out in the middle of the store had been made 5 days prior and the lettuce was really brown. He just had this blank look on his face and said “you can ask the deli”. The girl at the deli was helping the only other person in the store. So I asked if he would go look , he said “no”
So I waited until the girl at the deli could help and her response after she looked at the salads was “oh they have 2 more days until we make new ones come back then if you don’t won’t these.”
Unbelievable. This place is on par with Kroger the king of spoiled produce. Looks like Meijer is the only option around now.
Whom ever is the owner of Colony Market should really fix the staff and spoiled food issues, or the issue will be no customers to be rude too.

Typically, I have a good experience here. Yesterday, 6/25, I got the tropical fruit salad, and it was literally the consistency of hot yogurt. So I came back the next day, hoping that they had redone it. We'll I got it and the girl at the counter said the batch was really runny and bad. There must have been too much yogurt in that batch. I got it, and it was bad, too. Another older lady heard the exchange and nothing....crickets.. I then get 2 blonde brownies at the register. As the girl is putting them in the bag, a quarter of one falls off and onto the counter. She says, "Oh, it's okay." I thought she had taken one out. But no, she left the not whole brownie in and charged me for 2 full brownies. So, what was the okay for? Maybe she was comforting herself... I know it's a somewhat small thing, but you guys are also a "small town" grocer. It's super disappointing.

Great place. Moved out here from Troy and have been looking for a good family owned deli-meat place. Great selection of deli meats and cheeses. Ordered a bunch if stuff for pannini Saturday and sliced exactly as I asked. Great breads and selections of salads and sides. Can't wait go go back and try the meat/butcher. Good looking homemade sausages as well. Will definitely go back!!
While i have visited Colony for the meat counter, which is deserving its own 5 star review, this review is about the amazing sandwiches.We like to head over to Colony at lunch for the sandwiches.The hot ham and cheese is the second to none.From the crispy crunchy grill on the fresh sourdough to the perfectly warmed Boarshead ham and melted cheese this sandwich is delicious from the first bite to the last. I usually end my lunch my enjoying the dill pickle that comes with. While I'm no pickle connoisseur, I can safely say, that's a great pickle!Next time you're in the Grand Blanc area at lunch, do yourself a favor and get a sandwich from Colony Market.
