Staff repeatedly used the nearby shooting as an excuse for their behavior, but as customers who were also affected, we expected empathy and professionalism — not excuses.
Even after waiting 30 to 40 minutes for our waitress when we got our food again after another, maybe 30 minutes my vegetables were raw. The restaurant was not busy at all. The entire staff was simply distracted, talking yapping, running their mouths Not thinking twice about tables I seen two girls that were actually taking care of those tables. The rest forget about it. I asked to speak to manager. The 2nd waitress decided to spill her version of events she used her hands so much and was anxious, very problematic girl, which caused him to come over very rude, she knew what she was doing Trying to be overly sweet never works when your true character will eventually come out. My plan for her coming over to even help was to tip her big But she decided to flip the script because she thought the complaint was about her. It was simply about my raw vegetables on top of everything else. Life skills and leadership is lacking, I was graceful, tipped low because it was better than 0..
The atmosphere was chaotic, and even the owner seemed more focused on appearances and his liquor for the news cameras than on guests. Hmm, yeah ok. This experience was truly disappointing. I hope management REFLECTS and improves their leadership, training, and customer care. Because this was very poor. If I was the manager/owner I would gather my people and regroup. Simple and strong. But hey… this was our experience and it was poor, very very poor.

I was there to pickup a catering order and the owner was very rude and I nearly left without my assigned order because he wanted to deliver it himself. Thankfully he released it to me after fussing on the phone (felt like forever) with the catering company. It was an uncomfortable interaction.

First time here. Best Mediterranean food we’ve had in a long time! The bread and garlic sauce was amazing, as was the side fattous salad. And the chicken shawarma wrap, excellent! Our waitress, Lisa was extremely helpful, and friendly! Highly recommend!

Would have loved to give a better review, but the service was suspect. We were asked for our drink order before we even sat down or looked at a menu. Then was asked what we wanted to order before we could finish looking at the menu. After we got our food, the waitress brought over boxes while we were still eating. Then brought the check before we were done eating. Now brings back the credit card receipt with no pen. Guess she doesn't want a tip.....BTW the food was burnt.

The atmosphere was awesome. The food was delicious...perfectly prepared to my requests. The portions are good and the price is fair.

Staff were very welcoming, inviting and helpful.

Save room for dessert if you can. They have humongous slices of yummy looking cake to offer.

We attended a family wedding reception here and found it a delightful experience! The food - a wide variety of Middle Eastern specialties - was plentiful and delicious. The falafel was the best we've ever tasted! The staff was friendly, helpful and cheerful; and the party room was large enough to accommodate the band and singers. We went for a special event, but would certainly return for dinner. Note: everything on the menu is available for carryout too!

Our server Alexi was great. Very attentive, great attitude. The food was delicious. The grape leaves were excellent. We went there for lunch for our anniversary. Will definitely go back. If you're looking for excellent food and great service,this is the place to go.

Check Your Takeout Bags Prior to Leaving. Extremely disappointed. First time ordering takeout from this restaurant. I ordered the baba with Shawarma, 2 sides were vegetables and I replaced the salad for hommous $3.75 upcharge. I ended up receiving hommus with Chicken, which is chicken ontop of hommous, then another side of hommous. I live over 30 minutes away and by the time I got home, they were closed. I also ordered their shawarma salad. That was delicious. I still have the hommous chicken and the extra side of hommous. I am hoping they will exchange it for correct order today.

Took my daughter 's to dinner today and was sitted and looked over the menu for about 15 minutes without anyone approaching our table with water, bread or any presence! When we arrived it only about 4 cars in the parking lot and we were the only one in our section waiting to be serviced? We finally walked out and as we were walking out one of the greeters said have a nice day, so we went to Shibam Restaurant & Cafe on Pierson Rd in Flushing MI and AWESOME service! I have never experienced this from Taboon before and very disappointed!!!

Honestly if I could give it 0 stars I would, My mother, sister and I went and got seated, but after that nobody came to get our order or drinks. Mind you the restaurant was completely empty and all the workers was at the front talking and laughing we waited about 15 minutes and still nobody came. After that we left and saw all the workers up front not doing anything and one girl made smart remark saying “have a good night” while laughing. So honestly I felt like this is a very unprofessional establishments that need to keep there workers in line.
