It's was a good breakfast. Better than most places. I wasn't fond of the pancakes. Was a little pricey but u are in the u.p.. And it's a family oriented home town diner. You gotta try this place.
The food was pretty good at lunchtime, and very good for breakfast. The southwest bowl wasn't exactly what I expected, I wanted more of a rice bowl but it had very little rice. It had a good flavor. The dish was a little smaller than expected for the price. Breakfast was well made and I felt that I had plenty of food for the price. A better value for the pancakes, bacon, eggs and potatoes.
We were in search of a breakfast place and found The Breakwall!! The menu was awesome, they had something for everyone (it was almost hard to decide)! We loved the set up of ordering then sitting down and self serve coffee/drink bar was perfect. Hands down this place makes the best pancakes I have ever had and I really mean ever had!!! The entire family got pancakes and every one of us agreed they are the best pancakes ever!!! If you are in Grand Marais highly recommend this place...
