The Dunes Saloon Lake Superior Brewing Co.

The food is so very good. You HAVE to try the garlic/parmesan popcorn. They make pizza the way it is supposed to be made (delicious). The house brewed cream soda and root beer are great. The staff is amazing and friendly. I highly recommend this place. I am a true foodie and this place is going on my LIST!

Very glad we happened upon this place. The food and beer was excellent, but the service and conversation was something that makes us eager to return.

We ate here twice during our stay in Grand Marias. The first night we had whitefish, which was caught that day. The fries were excellent. The second night we had a spinach dip with the best ever pita bread chips. We each had a large salad for our main dish, and the lettuce was fresh. There were only five beers on tap and no IPA. Because it's a brewery, we expected more choice. But the amber was pretty good.

Whenever we are visiting the area we usually stop in for dinner and are never disappointed. You never know what you're going to get with small town restaurants/brewery but this place is the exception. It's always been busy but we haven't had to wait too long for a table to seat 5 of us. I'll keep coming back.

We enjoyed dinner so much we went back the next day... have never done that on a road trip. There was quite a wait Friday night but town was packed with leaf peepers, so it's understandable.
All I can say is...get the whitefish dinner if you like poached fish. It. Was. Amazing. Every single item in that meal was cooked and seasoned so nicely....I think my comment was "this meal has me in my happy place"
