I'm mourning the loss of the quality of the sushi for this restaurant. My girl and I dubbed this our "Go to" sushi place in G. Pointe. But all we tasted was avocados and cucumber in our 80$ sushi. Didn't taste any other ingredients/ fresh fish. The pot stickers were overcooked/steamed and came out Opened up AKA too steamed. Great service tho. And staff compliments my sexy gf. Just saying, I'd go here for compliments and drinks. That's it.

One of the worst carryout experiences I have ever had. I ordered a simple order online. (Two sushi rolls, an order of spring rolls, one miso soup, and an order of potstickers). The app said the order would be ready within 15 and 25 minutes. I arrived and spoke to the host at the 16 minute mark. I waited for 30 minutes, while at least 4 other carryout customers came in and received their orders, with no update on yo order. At this time, I asked the host if there was an issue. I was told my order was beginning to come up now. I finally received my order about 12 minutes after speaking with the host. On my way out, I spoke to the front of house manager, who told me if they get busy, the wait time go's from 25 to 45 minutes, but the customer is not informed. I said "that system is ridiculous and that I was waiting there for over 40 minutes as she and the host helped other customers". She responded with" had she known she would have discounted my order". I asked why she did not speak to me in those 40 minutes and was told "I don't pay attention to that stuff". The FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER does not pay attention to the customers waiting at the front desk. I than said thank you and left very unhappy with this transaction. Rhe food was of decent quality but quite small portions for the price. Horrible experience all together!

Had a great experience at Blufin!! Our server was Olivia. She was amazing and sweet, the food was fantastic. I had the Lobster sushi, Crab Rangoons, and the fried rice with shrimp. Great portion size and the drinks were STRONG! Definitely coming back and you should definitely stop by and taste their amazing food.

The sushi was good and fresh. Waitress was attentive and atmosphere was nice. The only thing that need improvement is the fried rice. A little more seasoning and less butter. Maybe garlic butter instead and some more soy sauce and a little of pepper.

I heard about BluFin from a close friend of mine and the feedback was overwhelming positive. After hearing how my friends’ service went with the establishment I decided to go there today for lunch. I arrived at around 3:05 pm and upon entering I was greeted within a 15 second timeframe from the host, handed the main menu and sushi menu and was given the option to pick where I wanted to sit (Outside/Patio, inside with two areas, one of which is directly in front of the sushi bar and kitchen and the other on the opposite side of the restaurant). I decided to go with inside by the sushi bar and kitchen. After being sat I was greeted by my server within 2 minutes and was met with positive energy which I loved and was poured a glass of water. After another few minutes of looking over the menu my server returned and I placed my order.
Since this was my first outing here I went with four items: Popcorn Shrimp, BluFin Roll, Blue Devil Roll, and the Mongolian Beef special. Everything I had was fantastic, I made sure every plate was clean before the dish got back to the tank. The popcorn shrimp was fried just right and the sauce, omg the sauce was FIRE! The rice rounded out the dish as a palate cleanser and all components worked together perfectly. The BluFin and Blue Devil Rolls were some of the best pieces of sushi I’ve had in Michigan, no exaggeration. Everything was fresh and each piece made you want to keep eating more. Lastly the Mongolian Beef special was the icing on top of an already fantastic experience. The beef was flavorful and tender, the sauce accompanied with the beef was delicious and the scallions and fried onions (I believe it was fried onions) garnished on top gave me everything I was looking for.
As someone who works in the industry (restaurant) I always love going to places where the staff takes pride in the food and service they display. BluFin will definitely be a spot I return to and suggest from word of mouth and social media.

Visited Bluefin today and had the Kobe sliders and Tempura Oreos and both were utterly amazing. The garlic cheese that was in the sliders was absolutely incredible. I can't wait to come back for more!!
