Atwater in the Park offers a memorable dining experience with friendly and attentive service from its staff. The venue features a cool atmosphere with a large, converted church building that has been creatively repurposed. Inside, there is a big U-shaped bar surrounded by 4-seat high-top tables, and stainless steel vessels replacing the pulpit and choir add to the unique decor. The patio is a highlight, especially during spring and summer, providing a perfect outdoor space to enjoy the day. Multiple big screens around the restaurant cater to sports fans, and a cozy back room with leather chairs and a real fireplace creates a warm, inviting space. The restaurant boasts a broad beer list on two pages, and the food menu includes solid pub options like burgers and the Atwater Brat, topped with cheese, jalapeños, and bacon bits, served on a pretzel bun. Recently, the establishment revamped the small event room, now filled with an impressive collection of board games and four large-screen TVs featuring vintage Nintendo and Sega games for free, making it a great family spot where parents can enjoy beer and food while kids play video games. Parking is available in the back via a corner entrance to the Biergarten, accessible and convenient for everyone, especially those using wheelchairs. The building’s large space accommodates big groups both indoors and outdoors, and TVs are available to watch sports. The Happy Hour from 3:13-6:16 M-F offers $3.13 beer and $6.16 food, with generous portions that defy expectations. Though the beer is considered pretty average, the food has improved considerably since the change in ownership, with some salty tots and fries. Overall, Atwater in the Park is a fun and relaxed place to enjoy good food and drinks in a unique setting.
