Had good experiences in the past dining in. Take out was awful. First, gave me the wrong item, had to go back for a replacement and give them the original. They appeared to have recycled the original and still gave me the wrong item. Half the order was a soggy, unedible mess. Don't give them your money, you will be very disappointed.

I ordered through DoorDash, which I do often and never have a problem today I ordered the same thing I ordered all the time Carnitas tacos came with no sauce at all. I called and let them know because this isn’t a DoorDash issue. He said well yeah that’s not the way it’s supposed to be. Well that’s not what you say to a customer when they call and complain about something not being delivered correctly. This is a restaurant issue. It came completely dry with no sauce my favorite meal from them and I won’t order it again because of this experience. Not sure that I’ll order at all from them again. ☹️

I want to post a pic of what I got. Supposedly a chicken enchilada..it looked like someone vomited on it. The sauce smothered it, soggy. Couldn’t eat it. Rice and guacamole was ok. Never again.

On September 23rd at 2 PM, I went there and dealt with the woman working the front desk. She was absolutely terrible — the worst I’ve ever met in my life. She didn’t know a damn thing when I asked about the food, had a terrible attitude, and to top it off, there wasn’t even a bartender at 2 PM. This place is by far the dumbest spot in Grosse Pointe. It does not represent us at all, and honestly, that business needs to shut down and be replaced with something better.

I got shredded lettuce drowning in mayo for a ceaser salad and no one gave a shit or tried to resolve it

Someone ordered door dash and I was the driver we went here to pick it up. Asked a staff member about order and she said that don't do online orders. It shows they do on their site. Some should fix this instead of ignoring the problem.

The people are so nice and I'm fallin in-love with the manager. She's beautiful. I think her name is Ashley. 💜 ❤️ I may marry her. Foreal!!!!

Food was decent the first time i had it delivered to my job from doordash.
So good in fact I decided to order a pickup a couple weeks later off the app.
Unfortunately, it wasn't the same pleasant experience.
There was a young girl and a few other workers in the back.
I just got off work around 3pm.
I was the only customer with my spouse.
While we was waiting for food. We asked if we could order a drink.
She said no, she didnt feel like it.
She was very ride the entire time. And then went to the back and proceeded to talk about us to her co workers as if we just inconvenienced her entire life.
Ironically, I also work in restaurant management. I even mentioned to her that she was rude and have poor customer service skills. He response was to leave and have a good day.
This young girl is ruining this business!
But then again from looking at the reviews. It seems like it may be a family owned and operated business. Which would explain the crappy service and reviews.
Lessened learned for this guy. Do NOT go to a restaurant before checking out reviews!!!

Food is okay, service is rude. Ordered carry out today including a small side of guac. Got all the way home, went through the bag, no guac. Went back up to Frontera, server argued that she put it in with the chips (I didn’t order chips). Pulled out my receipt to show small 4oz guac. She went to the back without saying anything, came back and slapped one on the counter without saying anything and left. I was a bit confused and hung by the counter for a second. When she walked back by the register, I asked if everything was good and she once again quipped that she put the guac in the bag the first time.

I left my newborn and hungry wife at home to come grab a simple dinner and it’s hard to leave the house once let alone twice. Obviously everyone makes mistakes but the attitude was unreal. The place was empty as usual, this time will be my last.

Stopped in tonight. It's such a cute place. Our waitress was amazing. We both ordered tacos and they came out perfect- love the sauces that came with them as well. They also now have cocktails and beer :) great spot and look forward to coming back

Excellent authentic Mexican food! Delicious dishes, especially the tacos, all tacos but especially the birria tacos, the refried beans and rice, the churros and horchata! Great service! Fast and efficient!

We picked up a carry out from frontera grill again tonight! They are our family’s go to for everything taco! Their carne asada, beef tacos, birria taco dinner, churros, horchata drink, their rice - it is all so delicious! The atmosphere is always great and the lady at the front is so very pleasant. The food is made quickly and always tastes great! This is why we go back!
