Not enough employees working. Coffee was okay. They advertise they have a honey and cinnamon syrup. They don't. It's just honey and a dash of cinnamon. That's not a syrup, just separate things.

Super cute place with great drinks, food and atmosphere! I got the iced matcha latte and it was scrumptious! I also ordered the tomato and arugula croissant. Very flaky & buttery.

We bought one baguette, one French rustic, one croissant, and one pain au chocolat. We apologize for being direct, but the first bite of each was disappointing. The croissant and pain au chocolat were desperately bland, with an unpleasant butter flavor, like if margarine was used instead. The baguette and the French rustic lacked character, even when paired with jam or a dip. Moreover, in less than an hour at room temperature, they lost their crispy texture and became soft. Given their quality and cost, these products are overpriced. There are other bakeries in Metro Detroit that offer better products and greater value for money.

The PCR Brown Paper Bags used at this bakery are not food grade or FDA approved, but recycled from previously used products. Not all PCR is automatically food-safe, and specific precautions are needed to ensure contaminants don't migrate into the food. Even the gas station has food grade bags for pastries and so should LeRouge.
The bread is excellent and placed in food grade bags.
Please stop using the unsafe recycled brown paper bags without even a sheet of waxed paper protecting the pastries. Thank you.

I love to be able to walk from my house to a nearby bakery. I love that this is a French bakery around the corner from my house because I’m French.
I grab a baguette at least twice a week and I love the convenience, I would just love it if they start making more things that are more French.
( almond croissants, Chaussons aux pommes, Éclair au chocolat, macarons… please and thank you !)

Hospitality could use some training. Food is great. Was sitting outside with my dog waiting for my food, as the cashier said I could. Sever delivered food and when I noted I had a pastry and asked for silverware/napkin they said I’d have to go inside to get it myself. Not a major issue but it’s the small detail and a bit of critical thinking to realize now that I’m back out here with my dog untied that maybe they should offer to bring that out for me.

My favorite coffee shop! The drinks are delicious and made perfectly and the staff is always super friendly and amazing. This is my favorite local coffee shop!

Fantastic cappuccino, water is kept in the fridge off to the side in tall glass bottles. The croissant is so flaky! Almost too flaky to get a good bite. The line is right as you walk in.

Love the space, convenience and offerings. We would probably come here all the time if it wasn’t for their policy on not accommodating any changes to the menu. Something as simple as the bread for sandwiches cannot be switched. My husband who has an allergy against certain nuts and seeds was not accommodated in any way. We go to a wide range of bakeries, bistros, and restaurants of all price points and have NEVER experienced such an unwillingness and frankly lack of caring about making any accommodations. It’s very off putting and disappointing.
They also can’t heat up any of their pastries.
The brisket sandwich is very tasty.
Don’t expect a good croque madame that you may be familiar with. Theirs is way too rich and I can’t recommend it.

Dietary restrictions: Do not accommodate whatsoever. Service staff didn’t care.

What an outstanding bakery. I stopped in here on a Wednesday morning around 8:30 AM and am so impressed. We got a chocolate croissant, butter croissant, pumpkin croissant, drip coffee, an egg, and the hash browns. Everything was fantastic!!! Coffee had a great flavor! The ladies behind the front counter were very polite and welcoming. These were truly the best croissants I’ve ever had. Beware… it’s SO flaky that you’ll want to make sure you eat over a plate (in the best way) and order more than just one. I will definitely be returning to LeRouge bakery!!!!
