Service is good. Young teens. The pasta is heavy with too much sauce. Salads are fine. Pizza is rough - greasy and they totally overwhelm the crust. Either use more dough or less topping. Dough is the life of a pizza, don’t crush it. Let it live, rise, and have structure. Less toppings is more. For a place that makes its own dough they treat it badly. Weirdly enough you cannot get oil and vinegar for a salad dressing….that is all they will ever offer in the old country, odd. Good atmosphere.
Carry out but the food was excellent.
Pizza had good flavor and amazing cheese! The service was great and our food came quite fast! After the 1st pc, though, the pizza was soggy...little disappointing.
The real pizza pizza
The wood fired pizza is incredible, highly suggest putting some hot honey on it. Atmosphere and service have been fantastic.
The server was very lovely and friendly.
One of our favorite pizza places! Great food and wonderful people!
Love everything about this place from location to menu choices. Service is good. Pizza is great as well as everything else I’ve tried on the menu. Personal favorite is cacio e pepe. Hard to find dish that most places are scared to make but they sure do it well here.
Pizza and service was great!
One of my family’s favorite restaurants. Love the pizza, love the pasta, and the beet salad is the greatest salad ever.

The ingredients are always fresh and the pizza never disappoints. However, often times there is long wait times (2-3 hours) and they don’t take reservations. We often have to wait around elsewhere and find the hostess a bit rude when requesting updates on our party. The whole experience would be much more enjoyable if there was a better system to make a reservation.
We LOVE Bricks! Great food options, wonderful bar and the kids all love the arcade. Went recently and Shannon was able to accommodate our large group for a family surprise birthday celebration which included several out of state guests. We ordered a little bit of everything to share. Everyone had a lovely time, a great meal and the service was wonderful. Just another great gem offered in Grosse Pointe Park, positioned on Kercheval in one of the cutest business/dining/shopping districts ever. We are so lucky to have it!
Kid-friendliness: Great little arcade to keep kids occupied while waiting for their food... and great outdoor seating when weather permits.

We have been probably 5 times and we want to like it so bad! Positive note first: the salads are very good. Unfortunately, the pizza is just so average. Soggy and greasy for brick oven pizza, almost like it’s cooked at a low temp. Also, the vibe of the place is off: The staff seems unhappy and the manager is kind of a bozo. We’ve given it a fair shot but won’t be going back.

Was so excited to try their pizza only to get a dry pizza with barely any sauce or vegetables on it. Overpriced. I've had better pizzaz elsewhere worth the $$. Not coming back.

Firstly, we had to secure this reservation with a credit card and would be charged $45 for a no-show. We arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled 7pm reservation for a party of 3. The host was just finishing up with a couple and was taking their cell number and telling them he would contact them when their table was ready. Upon me telling him we were early but had 7pm reservation, his responses was very abrasive and short, "There are no tables available, come back at 7", and offered no further information, I was expecting something like, you can wait right here, outside, or get a drink at the bar and we'll let you know when your table is ready or something opens up early, but nothing. I asked, "Can you text me when our table is ready", he response was, "Since you have a reservation, we would not be able to text you." We decided to wait outside. It was a little chilly and breezy, and while we waited, my wife said to me that when we're seated, she would prefer sitting inside as opposed to sitting on the outdoor patio because it was too cold. At 4 minutes before 7, we walked back in and stood off to the side, not to block the door. Without saying anything, the host once again was very abrasive and short looked up and said, "like i said, there will be nothing until 7" and I responded "it's cold outside, and we prefer to wait inside, if thats alright". At 7:05, we were finally seated, and as luck would have it, it was at a table on the outside patio. I informed the hostess that we prefer to sit inside, and she responded that this is best they could do. People with reservations get priority to the tables inside. I told her we indeed did have a reservation and we prefer to sit inside. Upon returning to the host stand, the same host, as early, said we could sit at the bar, at a hightop in the bar area, or wait for a regular table, which would be opening when the party sitting at it finishes up, but did not know how long that would be, we told him we would wait for the regular table. We were finally seated at 7:15. We ordered a glass of wine, an ice tea, a rootbeer soda, and a large pepperoni pizza. After finishing the bill, it was $45, but were comped $20, which almost covered the drinks. After taxes, the final bill was $26.34. Knowing the waitress had nothing to do with our earlier experience, I put down $40 cash, and we left.
Not knowing how their sitting/reservation system works, during our 1/2 hour wait, a minimum of 6 parties of 3 more were seated.
The waitress was attentive and professional. The pizza was good, but not great. The host and seating policy was unacceptable and needs a lot of work. Therefore, I'm giving them a one-star rating.
We will definitely think twice before booking another reservation. I would find it hard to recommend The Bricks to my friends
