The Charlevoix is a fantastic local restaurant with an evolving menu that perfectly embraces the seasons. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to catch a game and meet locals who are always eager to share their love for the town.
We started our visit with a couple of cocktails expertly crafted by the bartender 'Peaches.' They were not only priced well but also absolutely excellent! Each drink was a delight, and we found ourselves wanting to try more.
While we didn't sample the food this time, we're excited to return and explore the menu. The locals were more than happy to share their favorites, giving us some great recommendations for our next visit.
Overall, The Charlevoix offers a wonderful blend of quality drinks, a welcoming atmosphere, and a sense of community that makes it stand out. We can't wait to go back.

First time trying this place and ordered the meatball po boy, Thai style wings, the perch po boy, the arugula salad, and a southern tier pumpking beer. The meatball po boy was the best meatball sandwich I’ve ever had. It had delicious sauce, cheese, and high quality meat. I also loved the bread it comes on! The Thai wings were so unique and delicious, you could tell the meat is fresh and high quality. The arugula salad was a great addition to balance out the meal. My boyfriend really liked the perch po boy and complimented the huge serving. Everything we got was only $66! Extremely reasonable!!

We returned for a work happy hour with about 12 of us, and it was great! Friendly, fast service, with great recs, homemade fresh food, nice craft cocktails and cold beer. An excellent way to watch a Tigers game. This time, we tried lots of their wings - they're so good. Crispy, juicy, tossed in sauce and/or dry rub - perfect. My favorites were the sweet habanero and the salt and vinegar. Yum! We also split the fish tacos, cauliflower salad, and schnitzel sandwich, and everything was just so fresh and flavorful. Top notch bar food. That sandwich is huge! I am kind of sad they don't have fries, but that chopped cauliflower salad was really crave-able and delicious. We also got the spam fried rice, which you really shouldn't pass up. It's charry and smoky; savory and unctuous - so good. I'm hardly ever in GP, but every single time I am, I will be here. It's almost worth traveling from the west side for.

Charlevoix is such a cool spot! Think high-end American pub meets Spanish tapas, and somehow they make it all work perfectly. The wings are on another level — really creative flavors you won’t find anywhere else, and they’re crazy good. The cocktails? Outstanding. You can tell they put real care into every drink.
Honestly, everything we tried was delicious. It’s one of those places where you keep sneaking looks at the menu thinking, “Okay, what’s next?” The vibe is relaxed but elevated, so you can come in for a casual drink or make it a full night out.
This place has quickly become a favorite — can’t wait to go back.

So, what's the scenario? BJ and Krystal were outstanding hosts. Wine glass pours were clubby and well priced. My double Tapatio Blanco was a great starter for the evening and also priced nicely.
BJ was kind enough to have the kitchen prepare our outstanding slider at a M/R. They dont usually prepare as such so the accommodation was great. So much so that we ordered another slider. The chicken slider app rather snuck up on me. First couple bites I was indifferent. Once I incorporated all ingredients, I was HOOKED. Needless to say we can kick it here. Also, the music selection this evening was on POINT. I ain't buggin out, youll enjoy. Bring Bonita!

I love this place for so many reasons, but the wings are a standout. these are the ghost pepper wings and they are legit spicy, which isn’t always the case at other bars, but also the flavor is so on point. I moved out of detroit almost a year ago and every time I visit, I make sure to stop by The Charlevoix just to get a taste of these wings again.
aside from that, the service is always fast and friendly and I’m usually find that I’m surrounded by regulars at the bar who are on a first name basis with the staff. it makes for a very warm and welcoming space.
the drinks are great as well, and all the rotating specials on the menu are fantastic. their kitchen team kills it, the food is unique and they’re taking chances with some of the not-so-typical bar fare but it always sticks the landing. there are no skips on this menu, I love it.
this place is the best and it’s seriously one of my favorite places to eat in detroit. get the katsu sandwich! get the ghost pepper wings! get the thai cheesesteak! drink a million electric lemonades! get it all, enjoy!!!!!

Party of 6 this past weekend. A few of us were unimpressed. Mostly because the meals were a bit heavy on the sodium. I have heard that many cooks get desensitized to salt. Maybe that was the case. I’ll give it another try as the service and atmosphere was impressive

Try one of their Po' Boy sandwiches!
(such as the Italian Beef Po' Boy or NY Chopped Cheese sandwich.) Gotta' order their 'spam and rice' topped with egg, too.
A contemporary, upbeat sort of place.
Give them a visit.
Free parking across the street.
Full bar.
