The food is delicious and the service is fantastic! My only complaint is how loud the place has become. Not too long ago, it was more of a restaurant than a bar. Lately, however, it has become more like a noisy college bar than a restaurant. I still plan on coming here once in a while.

What a great place! I love coming here with friends. Martinis are wonderful along with all other drinks! Bartenders Rachel, Bobbie, and Justin are awesome and very attentive. This is always my go to place!

I had an amazing experience at the Old Pony! Rachel and Bobbie are truly exceptional bartenders. Not only did they craft some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while, but they also made the atmosphere warm and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home, and their knowledge of drinks is impressive. Umm. If you’re going to bill yourself as a “Martini” joint please learn how to make a proper lemon twist.

I ordered an old school gin Martini very dry with lemon twist. Although the bartender got “very dry” spot on, was served with a lemon rind—terrible.

Then upon using the restroom my half full drink was take off the table. Was offered a “half” replacement by my server and this one actually came with a full slice of lemon—umm it’s a gin martini not lemonade.

When my date complained (i usually refrain from public comment on bad service), the bartender actually came out and debated me on which Grosse Pointe am I a resident. And then told me”this is s dive bar”

To the owner: I am a world traveler, international businessman, I have the best martinis in the world made by master craftsmen in London. If you are going to bill yourself as a “martini” establishment you need staff who understand the drink. And debating customers over where they live? That’s ridiculous. BTW I’m a GPW resident and just moved from the East Coast.
