This was a Great stay! We went to the UP on a short vacation to travel and see some sites. This location was centrally located to the couple places we went.! We were able to bring our dog. We paid our dog fee, but it was a nice big open area to walk the dog! The restaurant wasn’t open yet, but it will be soon. The rooms were clean. My bed was comfortable. Pillows were amazing. Shower was hot.! That’s all I really need. Thanks, Dreamland.

We were there for a few days, cant expect much from the U.P I guess. but why such a low rating, our dog found dirty old crusty socks in our room...The outside brick wall literally shook back and forth. The driveway was worse then the michigan roads. How bad is that? Restaurant next store closed, could've been a great place to eat if open. Place needs to be cleaned better snd better taken care off. Highly disappointed, next time we will go futher down the road for sure. Anything but a dream to stay there

Avoid – No respect for sleep and zero management

My stay at this hotel was highly disappointing for two major reasons:
Noise and Lack of Respect: The soundproofing is non-existent, but the worst part was the neighbors' behavior. At 12:45 AM, they were loudly talking in Spanish and blasting Latin music, acting as if they were the only ones in the world with absolutely no regard for the time or other guests. To make matters worse, there was no hotel staff available to step in, enforce the rules, or keep the peace.Total lack of management.

Cleanliness: The bathtub was completely unacceptable. Upon arrival, I found the bathtub still with hair. This is a serious breach of basic hygiene standards.

Wi-Fi: No information regarding the Wi-Fi connection (network or password) was provided in the room upon arrival. This is a clear lack of basic organization for connected travelers.

Check-in and Access: Upon arrival, there was no hotel staff on-site to welcome guests, and I received absolutely no information regarding the security code needed to access my room. This left me completely stranded and guessing how to get inside.

I absolutely do not recommend this place if you are looking for cleanliness and a good night's rest.

Bed Bugs! Tonight, my daughter, a young woman travelling alone, checked into Room 17 at the Dreamland Hotel and discovered bedbugs in her room. She immediately reported it to the front desk and was simply moved two rooms down, despite the obvious risk of infestation spreading through adjoining rooms and belongings. Obviously she couldn't stay. What was most concerning was the complete lack of urgency or concern shown by staff. As she was leaving, they attempted to dismiss what she found by saying “sometimes there are stains,” despite the fact that she had photographed the bugs themselves. They also refused to refund her. Bedbugs are not a minor inconvenience. They spread quickly, are extremely difficult and expensive to eliminate, and can affect every item a guest owns after exposure. As a parent, it is incredibly upsetting to know that a young woman travelling on her own was put into this situation and then made to feel as though it was not a serious issue. I have now filed a formal complaint with public health because guests deserve to know that these situations are being taken seriously and handled properly. I am posting this publicly because transparency matters, and because no one should unknowingly bring bedbugs home with them after staying in a hotel. If you have stayed there recently and are experiencing bites or concerns, inspect your belongings carefully.

My room was disgusting. I think there is a septic problem, our room stunk bad! There was a hole in the bathroom wall with some kind of feces all over the floor. We went to the casino to hang out until it was time to go to bed. (We don't gamble)
Nice check in system, with digital lock system.

Great location for our visit to the dad in-law near Blaney Park. We were one of the only guests for part of our stay( 3 nights). Comfortable beds.

We stayed August 28-30 first day was ok stayed in unit 9 went to check in there is no office everything is done over the phone seemed odd . Second day we were woke up with a gentleman walking in the room as we were sleeping woke out of a dead sleep to someone standing there saying hes staying in the same unit and had the same code as the one we were given which should have never happened. The situation could have went really bad . I called the company as soon as it happened 5 times no answer didn’t receive a call or text until the next morning saying sorry for this and he other response was (my bad ) really i said someone could have been seriously hurt in this accident of them giving both of us the same room and code.Asked for a refund for the issue and she said i can only give you one night refund that was ridiculous.

Here we Go

A very decent place for a very decent price, located near a handful of different adventures. There is a mini fridge and small microwave. Located right off of US 2, so if you are a light sleeper, it might not be for you due to the heavy logging and freight traffic that runs day and night. Decent selection of channels to watch. The shower head is fairly low but doesn't make it a deal breaker. Contactless check in, you call or book online and they send you a code to the door to your room. So don't show up and expect to go into an office because there isn't one.. no ice machine or vending.. thin walls

It was exactly what was needed and expected. No frills, no fuss, no BS. Clean and quiet, with nature all around.

Old fashioned & simple decor, but clean & comfortable. (No fridge. No microwave.)

Place was dated in a charming sort of way. Like something from an 1980s movie. It was clean and appeared well taken care of and very convenient right off the road. The owner was quick to text back when asked questions. My only complaints are the toilet wasn’t filling correctly and we had to fiddle with it quite a bit to get it to work. The fridge wasn’t cold and the air conditioner was so filthy we were not able to use it. I appreciate that 10 months out of the year it probably isn’t used but in August it would have been nice to have. The beds are very firm so something to keep in mind. Also, if you come in summer, have bug spray handy. The mosquitos are crazy!
