Morale appetizer it was very disappointing. The cup of soup was actually a half a cup, the pasta dish was a little shy of pasta. But Sammy & Ally we’re very accommodating & kind?

The pizza is not bad. Ordered a chicken sandwich with a tiny piece of chicken on it. Would only go back if I had no choice. Creme brulee was thick with very little flavor. Expensive for what we were given.

We made the long drive to The Crow's Nest last night for their Friday "Perch on the Porch" buffet. It was well worth the drive! Everything was delicious, the pan fried perch to order, BBQ ribs, and salads were all terrific. It's a small, unique restaurant with a wood burning fireplace. The food, service, drinks and atmosphere were all great. Our server Shana was theee best. They're only open Friday & Saturday evenings in the winter, so reservations are a good idea.

Since our last visit to this family restaurant, set in the countryside 20-30 minutes from Harbor Springs, the owners have had to cut back significantly on open hours because of difficulty in hiring staff. For now the Crow's Nest is open only on Fridays, and I recommend you make a reservation either by email or by leaving a message on the phone answering machine. Both the food and the wait staff remain excellent. The owners have innovated by offering perch, all you can eat, prepared on the porch and served buffet style. The perch and all the other food items are delicious.

Crows Nest is a favorite spot of ours and a must visit when in northern Michigan! Service is terrific, food is amazing. Great wine list & fun bar area. Family owned & run which yes makes a difference & it shows!

Out of the way gem! Very friendly server and the food was amazing!! "Fall off the bone", juicy ribs and fried chicken that brought back wonderful childhood memories of Sunday dinners. The pumpkin creme brulee was to die for!!! Will definitely return next time we're up north!

The Crow’s Nest has rude staff who directly insult customers. We had a reservation for dinner and when we got there, they said it would be five minutes and told us to go wait outside (where it was 45 degrees). Our children were too cold so we went back in, as it had been over five minutes anyway. In the meantime, the staff got a table ready for the people who came in after us. We asked why, and even the other people remarked that we’d been waiting longer. Upon questioning the staff as to why they didn’t set up a table (which was sitting there all along) for us who had been there longer, we were told in a nasty and condescending tone that “in my restaurant and my world, I can do what I want”. Wow. We left and went elsewhere. We used to come here all the time when our family friends lived in Cross Village, and it used to be wonderful. It’s too bad that this place has lost its ethics and courtesy and any semblance of customer service. Not sure if we’ve ever experienced this level of rudeness anywhere. I don’t think that if that’s the way they speak to their customers, that I would feel comfortable eating their food.

I ate there 2 nights in a row, because there was an hour wait to get in to Legs Inn. I had wonderful blue gill one night and delicious whitefish the other night. They served it with corn on the cob one night, and corn souffle the second night. They also had perch and Mediterranean pasta. You get a salad and a tiny pumpkin creme brulee also with the meal for a reasonable price. They are open at 5:00 and closed Sunday and Monday.

Wow some amazing perch!! We enjoyed a wonderful meal. Butternut squash soup with a bit of curry might be the best soup I’ve ever tasted. Great service and a delightful place to share dinner with a friend

As most of the local places closed early, we remembered the Crow's Nest. Most of our party of 8 had fish and the meals were large enough to share. Full menu, good local fish and service. They serve a "fish buffet" two nights a week.
