We tried this place two years ago and we really were disappointed with the food and the service. Our server this time kept checking in which was nice. The food was really good as it should be for the prices that are being asked. The price adds up quick as any substitutions come with a cost. This is not mentioned by the server or anywhere on the menu. I do feel if substitutions are equal there shouldn't be a $2.50 up charge. Four pieces of asparagus should never cost $2.50 in replace of green beans. We can't recall a charge like that when visiting two years ago. It's just nice to know that the quality of the food is better as food would have been sent back to the kitchen this time around. It might have helped that the same meal from last time was not ordered. We look forward to stopping in again when back in the area. Lastly, the views are still fantastic.

When you order an entree salad that has bacon on it, it shows up with no bacon, and you have to ask to find out they ran out of bacon. BACON! Entree's took an hour to show up, steaks undercooked and servers that disappear for 15 minutes at a time on a half-full Friday night. Now I know why they are half full on a Friday night. We won't be back. Ever.

Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Service with Michelle was pleasant and efficient. The only downside was, as others mentioned, about the golf crowd. Loud and obnoxious tables of golfers make this not a quiet night out. The restaurant site provides dress code and guidelines ignored by the casual golf crowd. Should either change expectations on their site, or enforce better from their guests.

Definitely not worth the average of $58+ for a meal. We had gotten lobster and it was fairly overcooked, flavorless and rubbery, honestly the best part of the meal was the corn on the cob and that was still lacking of taste. The seating was nice but everything is overpriced for the very inadequate meal.

I have been there 3 or 4 other times, and it was always amazing. Not so much last weekend. My husband's steak was RAW. He always orders it medium. He sent it back, and it came back over cooked and tough. We always get bread. I guess they do not give that any longer. There was so much pepper on the baby red potatoes that is all you could taste. There was two tables of 10 or more people before us. Maybe that is why. Very disappointed

My family has been here a few times and I can’t say we’ve ever had a good experience. The service is hit or miss and there has not been a time where they’ve had everything being offered on the menu- no bread, no wine, no prime rib, change in menu, you name it. It’s unfortunate because the food is excellent. They recently jacked the prices and removed simple courtesies (now charging $7 for bread) when you’re looking at $58 entres. Sad to say we won’t be back nearly as often or if at all.

I have had 10 great Strip steaks at the Horizon but the last time on June 11th, it was not as good. I had what I thought was a T-bone steak not a Strip steak. I know the strip steak is inside the T-bone/ Porterhouse steak. With the large bone and excessive fat I had only about a 10 ounce steak and not the 20 ounce strip that was advertised. That was very disappointing compared to what I usually have been served at the Horizon. Also the Horizon has stopped serving a free bread for your dinner and now charges $6.50. I think that is not a very guest friendly change when you are paying $49.00 for a steak. Still very good place to eat but was quite disappointed yesterday. Kurt Weinfurter

We try to visit the Casino when we are at our cabin on Indian Lake. Horizons steakhouse is a must when we are there. It has become a mini vacation within a vacation. Food, view, service, all excellent.

Bar tenders were talking to each other and very loudly, not what’s expected in a steakhouse restaurant.
We had a Beef Wellington and tenderloin, both plates were very salty.
Service was great, our server was Kendra.

The venue was mediocre for a steak house. Our lamb chops were undercooked. We ordered Medium Well and received Medium Rare. I ordered pan roasted mushrooms and received a plate of chopped mushroom mush that in no way resembled a pan roasted delicacy.
Our server, Michelle, was apologetic as far as that can go. Not her fault.
Underwhelmed for the entire experience.
