They were dealing with greens keeper issues and mold in the greens. Were 100% honest and upfront about the issues. Beautiful views, kind staff. Asked about food and they put hotdogs in for us. Is it PHA worthy, no. Is it a great time with Beautiful views, absolutely. Limited bar / beer items and snacks available.
Loggers Trace layout and difficulty competes with some of the most prestigious courses in Michigan. The previous owner Steve did a phenomenal job designing and maintaining the course for many years. However he retired and sold the place a few years ago and apparently the new owners have had trouble finding greens keepers who know what they’re doing. The course has always played as longer/slower greens and a bit higher cut fairways and tee boxes than your normal high level club....
Course was by no means perfect but overall can’t complain. They are bringing the greens and Fairways back to how it used to be back in the day Adam the ground keeper is a fantastic guy and they just aerated the rear back nine. But overall can’t complain for the price
