Sans Souci Bar Reviews
Me and my wife stopped in today on September 21 2024 our waitress was Katie S and she was amazing and the food was excellent and the remodel look great. I wish the new owners years of success
My family has been on Harsens Island since 1969. The Sans Souci bar has always been a very special, family friendly place with reasonably priced food. Harsens Island is our only and permanently home.
The overall interior remodle is amazing! The actual bar is 3x the size and gorgeous! The new sliding glass doors in place of the tattered booths are breathtaking! The servers and owners are very nice.

Sans Souci Bar on Lake St Clair offers a spectacular view of the river with barges passing by. The staff is inviting and provides fast service, while the locals are friendly. The hot wings and ice-cold beer are a must-try. With a great vibe, this place guarantees a great experience with delicious food like chili, BBQ chicken pizza, Rueben, and pretzel bites. The restaurant is also known for its open, clean, waterside setting, making it a lovely spot to enjoy a meal. Visitors often comment on the friendly staff who make guests feel like family, especially when it's not too busy or short-staffed. There is more than just bar food here—some incredible-looking pizza and a variety of soups, including a spicy seafood bisque, are available. The perch sandwich, served without the bun, features perfectly fried tenders that many find delightful. The turkey reuben on marbled rye is stacked high and satisfying. Drinks like raspberry mojito and cranberry vodka are highly praised. Upstairs, the ladies' restroom is particularly noted for being very cool. The restaurant is kid-friendly and welcomes noisy children, though accessibility for those with mobility challenges is uncertain. The atmosphere is lively, with conversations and laughter filling the air, making it a popular local hangout. Guests enjoy watching ships go right by and often appreciate the beautiful view right on the water. Many visitors mention the excellent service from the waitresses, who are among the best they've experienced, and the cleanliness of the bar and restaurant area. The in-house cooked corned beef in the Rueben sandwich is a plus, and the bartenders make their own mix for drinks like Bloody Marys. Overall, Sans Souci Bar is a reliable and enjoyable waterside restaurant that offers more than just bar food, making it a must-visit when on Harsen's Island.
