my husband and I love this bakery. one of our top favorite places at the Muskegon farmers market. the triple chocolate brownie is rich with flavor, one of our favs. Their scones are good too. the red pepper focaccia bread is some of the best focaccia bread I've had! perfectly cooked (not too dry like most others) and delicious flavor. The people who run this place are friendly and helpful, I highly recommend this place.
My niece, Liz Della Croce of The Lemon Bowl, gave me a loaf of Laughing Tree's 8 Grain bread in April 2023. Since then I have gotten 3-5 loaves of their bread every week. I've added 3 Seed bread that makes grilled sandwiches even more delicious. "Real" bread that's good for you. I eat it every day.
Solar powered, brick oven, delicious baked goods and breads..
The soup lady is the star of the farmers market in my view. Her home-made soups and freshly baked bread are the stuff of legend. After tasting her chili, she looms large on my radar screen from this time going forward. I doubled down and ordered seconds of her award winning, black bean chili. This was the very best chili I've ever had in my long life of chili consumption. She gets first prize in my view. She has a little grill behind her table and she will make you a hot sand to order on her fresh bread. Maybe you would like a fresh, farm egg sand or a grilled cheese sand to go with your soup. The soup lady can make it happen for you, on the spot while you wait. I plan on visiting the soup lady next Saturday. Her open face sands make my jaw drop. I may try her breakfast egg sand next Saturday. She told me she is doing a leek soup next. Ok. Leek soup it is. All hail the soup lady. The soup lady and her soup ladle. That is what I like. I'm down for the soup lady and her amazing offerings. I love the soup lady. She is the star of the show.

Best Tomato soup ive had in the longest time.Great witha grilled cheese sandwich that made my day.tThank You Live Diane.
Some of the best bread you've had in your life. Available at Hansen's in Hart.Laughing Tree - Keep doing what you're doing.
C’mon, now. This bread is ridiculous. All of it. The Michigander has a great hearty flavor with depth. The Oceana is an impressively light and open Italian style loaf for the whitebread folk. The rye, though? Stunning. ???The people are pretty darn friendly, too.
Thank you for surprising the teachers at Whitehall Middle School with fresh loaves of bread for teacher appreciation week! Your bread is the best.
The very best pilgrim rye bread. Very special and delicious.

I got a cranberry orange scone from here at the Muskegon Farmers Market yesterday and it’s still on my mind! I could smell it before I ate it and it was amazing! The loaf of Oceana bread we got is also delicious and so full of flavor. I don’t know what kind of magic you bake into your goods, but don’t change a thing. Don’t mess with perfection.
The absolute best bread you can find! We discovered Laughing Tree Bakery bread at Hansen Foods in Hart. Nothing compares. Soft inside, perfectly flakey crust, eat-the-whole-loaf kind of good. Upon visiting the Laughing Tree website, we were even more impressed to learn about the solar power bakery and brick fire oven process that goes into creating each loaf. Currently we live in the Detroit area and every time we travel to the West Michigan I reserve several loaves to purchase at Hansen. They are delivered fresh every Friday and they don’t stay on the shelves! Of all of the local bakers and breads we have tried from farmers markets, laughing tree bakery is by far the best. We slice and freeze the loaves so we can enjoy them every weekend. Great variety of options. We live the dense Pilgrim Rye and the Third Coast Seed is a close tie for first place. If you come across laughing tree bakery bread at a store or farmers market, snatch up what you can. You’ll be glad you did, and wishing you had more! The husband and wife duo is passionate about their craft and it’s evident in every bite! Try some of their granola too. Everything they make is made with love.
They have the best homemade bread. The olive loaf is awesome.
Wonderful people, awesome bread. This location is not a store front - check out their website for more details!
