My family and I ate here for the first time after stopping at the local orchard market. The menu is small, but the lunch was wonderful! Came out quick, tasted delicious, and was fairly inexpensive for four people. Would eat here again and I do recommend it if you are in the area.

Whenever we come up to Silver Lake Sand Dunes we make a stop here at The Pink Elephant! It is a fun spot in downtown Hart!

The pancakes were wonderful! And huge! I didn't care for the hash browns though.

This was the first time I'd ever been to the Pink Elephant. But I'm not from Hart.
We were seated right away. The staff was very friendly. We had to wait a bit for our food but they were quite busy.
I had an olive burger that was delicious! It came with chips. I didn't know if they made them or not. They did taste homemade and were very good.

We loved it! Yes we had a wait to be seated but the manager did a great job of setting and fulfilling expectations. I had the country omelet with a frank cake (pancake) and tator tots and all of it was spectacular. The staff was super friendly as well. Great spot!

Our family was in town for vacation and we wanted to share a meal together. After researching local restaurants as we normally do when visiting in a new town, we came across this place and thought it looked like a nice place to have brunch. We walked in and after waiting some minutes before being greeted, we were told they were working on getting a table for us, or possibly a couple tables if they don’t have enough room for us all to sit together (which we were fine with). A few more minutes go by and what I assume was the owner (?) came out and told us we were “putting a hardship on their kitchen” and “his cooks wouldn’t be happy” to see such a large group of 10….1 of which is a baby and 2 kids. He said we would be putting a strain on their “small diner” and he’s going to have to see if he can even seat us. These comments took us aback and made us feel very unwelcome and certainly less excited to spend our money here. We try to support local businesses where we can and this type of service in a small town is disappointing. What kind of “small diner” doesn’t want business? This kind of service is sad to see and we took our business elsewhere. In fact, we called Charlie’s down the road and asked if they could accommodate us, to which they said “absolutely!” And had our table ready to go when we walked in with friendly service. If you don’t want to seat larger parties, you could have told us that when we first walked in and there are definitely more friendly ways to convey this.

Would leave zero stars if possible.

Went here with my family of nine (plus a child), and the nice hostess informed us that we may have to sit in separate tables because of limited space (no big deal, she was very nice and we were hungry). This cued an older man (who we assume was the owner/manager) to come out and explain to us that a group of ten might make his kitchen staff quit, and they had limited space with a max table size of eight, but that they were reluctantly getting a table together for us. Our group decided that we wouldn’t like to feel burdened with giving our business to an establishment that clearly didn’t want it.

A better choice is Charlie’s Family Grill about five minutes away, where they put together a table for us before we even got there, and had a smile on their face when we came in.
