Excellent food! Had four meals here and everyone was outstanding. The house salad is top shelf. Staff is friendly and efficient. If you're in Hastings, give it a try
Great place for a nice dinner. We sat outside which was great.
The chef's choice menu was phenomenal with perfect portions.
Very unique atmosphere with delicious food. Drink price are very reasonable.
Nowhere NEAR busy. Waitress tries to play hero ball and memorize the whole order. forgets half the stuff. Super mid/below average food and probably the worst service i’ve had in Hastings. Give your money to Waldorff’s, Kloosterman’s, or Richie’s.
I think our servers name is Mikayla, she was great! We came in from out of town for a wedding and this place didn’t disappoint. Great drink selection and the food was amazing. We split entrees and apps and everything was great. We tried the calamari, spring rolls, couple different salads, short rib risotto, penne shrimp pasta and a fabulous steak that had a great sauce and was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend you check this place out!!
Food was absolutely horrible. Asked for steak medium rare, came out well done. Tasted like it was microwaved. Crab was cold. Asked for burger medium, came out well done. Did not have any cheese, tomato or onion on burger (even though menu says that they come on it). Burger was so dry and unseasoned, and piled high with so much spring mix you couldn’t even see the burger itself. Ate less than half (after taking off the 2 cups of spring mix) and brought the rest home for the dogs. $200 tab for 6 of us and no one in our party had anything good to say about their food. Extremely disappointed. Only thing keeping this from 0 stars (if that was possible) was the service.
Food was absolutely horrible. Asked for the steak medium rare, came out well done. Tasted like it was microwaved. Crab was cold. Asked for the burger to be cooked medium, came out well done. It was SO dry and unseasoned. Ended up eating half and taking the rest home for the dogs. The rest of our party had no good comments about their meals, and for an almost $200. Tab (for 6 people), I am extremely disappointed. Food is most definitely not worth the price.
The service was the only thing that saved them on getting a two star review. Would have left 0 if I could.
The food and atmosphere were great. The service was slow 🐌
We were sitting in our sits for 2 hours waiting for our food. The food was decent the staff was nice. But 2 hours is way too much time!

If you're looking for a hearty, home-cooked breakfast in Hastings, Phil's Galley is the place to be! I had the Denver Skillet, which was packed with flavor—perfectly cooked eggs, ham, peppers, onions, and melted cheese, all layered over crispy potatoes. It was a satisfying and well-balanced meal that hit the spot.
The highlight was their housemade toast—thick, fresh, and perfectly golden brown. It added a special homemade touch that you don’t often find at chain restaurants.
Since this is the only restaurant in town with a wide range of open hours myself, family and coworkers usually order from here. Every single time I have ever gotten carry out, 8/10 times being salads, something is always wrong and even after following their timelines its 10-15 minutes later to actually get the order while standing in their doorway, today being an exception because I was held up elsewhere (i didn't even feel guilty). Its just really frustrating because we don't even have yankee bills and to get something simple as a salad at that price and its immediately shadowed by their lack of consistency with the service but they are typically the only option so I truly dread settling for the connivence anymore.
Ordered the Church and Main which was supposed to have caramelized onions. The onions were raw and barely warm. When I asked the server about it, he said the onions were caramelized because they were put on the flat top grill when the meat was warmed. Sorry, buddy, that's not a caramelized onion. Bathroom floor appeared to be mopped only in the middle. Awful. We won't be back.
