Highland House is a wonderful restaurant located near NT Nail Lounge, and it’s a place our team often comes to enjoy meals together. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is always friendly and attentive.
The space is large, clean, and comfortable, making it perfect for team meals, family gatherings, or a relaxed dinner after a long day. You can really feel the welcoming atmosphere and the care they put into every detail. Highly recommended.

Food was really bad. Ate 2 bites out of my entree. My wife had maybe 3 bites out of hers. Waitress came and asked about our food. We were trying to be nice and told her it wasn't the best. She really could of cared less. Gave us our bill and took our food away. That was it. No sorry or what can I do. Nothing. Bad food on top of your server not caring makes for a pretty un enjoyable dinner.

I always forget to take photos of my food here because it is just that good. I’ve tried the shrimp and scallop provencal and the NY strip steak. Both have been amazing, and the complementary breadsticks are the cherry on top. We plan on coming back more often.

Taco Bell uses higher quality ingredients. 12-6-25, I got the dinner sized Apple Garden Salad which contained exactly 3 slices of apple and maybe 2 tsp of blue cheese. The chicken was so chewy, I couldn’t bite through it. It was like chewing denim. Seriously, I’ve never had any meat that chewy. The rest of the salad was made from the white and brown parts of the lettuce head. The parts that even fast food places don’t use. The only generous ingredient was the red onion. I asked them to leave it off and they put about a cup of it in, carefully mixed so it was a pain to remove. Someone hates their job and it shows. I’ll go eat out of a Taco Bell dumpster, before I go here again. Blech!

We traveled over an hour to eat at the highland house. Our bill was $189 for 5 of us which is fair. The only thing we like about our meal was the breadsticks and Heineken was cold . The food has gone way down hill it’s a lot of processed premade items. My Margarita pizza was horrible the sauce tasted like sweet trash It had a cardboard texture. The mozzarella cheese wasn’t melted. My son’s coconut shrimp was unpleasant tasted like it was freezer burnt .
The food was so bad But I will say the service was outstanding. We unfortunately won’t be back .

Wow....GREAT FOOD!!! Every bite was delicious. We enjoyed our lunch sooooo much we wanted to share our experience with you. The salad...the breadsticks...the chili and soup ...the ham sandwich and dessert were all like Grandma's house. Can't wait to go back for dinner! Also, our server DAN, was awesome!! Can't say enough about him. He was absolutely attentive to our every need. Great personnel can make or break a business and Dan is truly an asset!
Met Kelly the manager going out the door and she's awesome too! Thanks... we're telling all our friends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FIVE-STAR REVIEW — The Highland House (Highland, MI)
The Highland House has been a staple in the Highland/White Lake community for generations, and for my family it’s been so much more than just a restaurant — it’s been part of our story since before I could even walk. Some of our most cherished memories were made within these walls.
Growing up, this was the place we gathered for everything: my grandparents’ birthdays, cousins’ graduation parties, confirmations, holy communions, baptisms — you name it. And while it was always our celebration spot, it was also our go-to on any regular weekday when we just wanted great food and that familiar, comforting atmosphere.
Before the renovation, the old building had a nostalgic charm that truly reflected the family culture behind this family-owned business. I’ll never forget my favorite waitress, Natalie, who always treated me like her long-lost daughter. She made me feel so special as a little girl — even bringing me small gifts — and those memories still mean the world to me.
Now, with the newly renovated restaurant, the Highland House feels just as warm and welcoming, plus the addition of the Highland House Carryout attached to the building makes grabbing your favorites even easier.
My personal favorite dishes are the Lasagna Dinner for Two, the Whitefish with mashed potatoes and carrots, and of course… the legendary bread & butter and their garlic cream cheese dip. You truly can’t experience the Highland House without those.
Last night we celebrated my brother’s 35th birthday, and I ordered a couple of minestrone soups, some bread and butter, and one Angry Orchard. Our server, Brooke, was absolutely amazing — warm, attentive, and so accommodating, even to people like me who show up fashionably late.
One thing I love about community restaurants like this is running into familiar faces. Seeing Rob, who used to be my manager at the White Lake Highland House Carryout (right in the heart of White Lake!), brought back so many memories. It’s moments like those that remind you why places like this matter.
If you’re looking for somewhere to host a large family gathering, the Highland House can comfortably take care of you. And if you ever need catering for a party at home, I highly recommend stocking up on lots of breadsticks — trust me on that one.
The Highland House is more than just a restaurant. It represents family, tradition, and priceless memories shared with the ones you love. I’ll forever recommend it. ❤️
