We visited for lunch at about 12:30 pm on Sunday, August 31st. We were seated next to a table of over 10 people that were having a birthday party with kids, although the restaurant had only two other tables occupied, seating us right next to them was not a great situation. The diet coke with cherry grenadine was the best along with the small but very good salad with french dressing. The blue gill my husband ordered bordered on the boiled side with super light breading and the mud line was not cleaned good as it had a strong fish flavor. You can NOT substitute anything for the coleslaw, it's a take it or leave it situation. The fries were good but nothing special. Do your homework before you dine here, I hear we just didn't select one of their better choices for our meals.

Fantastic food and drinks. Beautiful restaurant and our server, Perry, was great. We started with the calamari & drinks, Howard City Sunset and today's special, raspberry lemon drop martini. Dinner, husband had the pork schnitzel that looked really, really good, the gravy on it was perfect. I had the Howard City Fish & Chips - I've never seen bluegill in a restaurant and this was perfection. I haven't fished in years and really miss being able to eat bluegill. As soon as I saw it on the menu I was beyond excited and this did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly, lightly breaded & seasoned, I hardly even used the tarter sauce but that was delicious as well. Served with perfectly done fries & homemade coleslaw. We will definitely be back. Very soon I hope. Can't wait to eventually try everything they have on the menu. Really happy to have this wonderful restaurant so close to home.

Went to dinner 8/14/25 and had our typical nice meal with bill over $100 and was SHOCKED to see a .75 cent charge for the two 1" butter patties I had asked for!! The other 7 folks at our table thought this was a joke but, alas, afraid not. Which word comes to mind- cheap, chintzy, petty, ridiculous or all of them? Oh, as it was my birthday we figured most nice restaurants offer a complimentary dessert but not here. Silly me for expecting that when I had to pay for the butter.

We stopped by after playing golf. By chance we found it close to the course. What a great find. The atmosphere was great, and well set up inside. The chicken tenders were good with truffle fries. I really liked the coleslaw. It had a hint of vinegar. Stop by if you get the chance.

Very nice restaurant a few miles off the expressway in Howard City. The squash bisque was amazing. The staff was friendly, ended up sitting outside since there was no wait at dinner time for outdoor seating. The trufle fries were very yummy.
